Adi Coney Island — Restaurant in Detroit

I pre-ordered on the (DoorDasherApp)… It’s a little weird restaurant, the first appearance when I entered, was junk, unkempt, old, just not a good impression. The staff…well… mmh, I’m not going to degrade people on their appearance, I do my best not to do that, so I’ll leave it alone. I came in as my food was being cooked, and I wish I had just picked it up already bagged and ready, because now I had to stand there and watch my food being handled, actually being handled by unprotected hands, by people that I don’t want to degrade. I have ate here before, years ago, and the food I w ordered was very good, as was this time, the food was actually good. I brushed off the fact that my food was being handled with unprotected hands, but this is actually normal and excepted at Coney Island Restaurants, why I don’t know. Chicken Zpita/Gyro-goood Sausage links-okay Half pancakes, out, no pancake mix French Toast-my 12yr old son said was good My 4yr old son ate his… Again, the food I’ve ordered was good, the restaurant environment may make you think twice...

I have had a few DoorDash pickups at this place. Twice now I have asked if I could use their restroom and to my surprise both times there are no towels to dry your hands in the restroom and no soap. So even if they are washing hands in the kitchen they're not able to wash their hands in the bathroom and carrying those germs to the kitchen where they wash their hands if that is even the case which I doubt. Watching them finish my customer's orders they do not use gloves or putting their hands right into the ingredients and throwing it onto the food and assembling the food without gloves. I would be very leery of eating from this place for that fact loan that is a major health department violation right there not having soap or a way to dry your hands in the restroom. I will attach picture so you can see what I'm talking about. Definitely not proper conditions to be preparing food, and if you're not going to be practicing proper hand washing techniques gloves become even more important than they do not use those or handling your food with...

Soo came in at 5 am to give it a fair chance since I remember ordering a triple Decker club and liking it... There was a waitress named Kim. And she was busy with one single table and some Uber eats orders.... Anyways sit in the both for 5 min and didn't greet me or came to see what I wanted. I am a very much a chill guy so I got up and order and even made small talk and gave a tip for something I order to go..... It took a while to create ..while I was waiting a guy came in asking for some chilli fries and she claims he didn't order them and then call him out on being drunk ..... She went around the room and said out loud! You smell like weed. And you too... Pointing to me! I don't do drugs at all and do take an offence for it. Since I consider this very very unprofessional. Never coming back here again. And wanted to leave the review to warn other clients to avoid this. The place was dirty and the waitress/ cashier was complaining about everything. Being loud and obvious like only a black...
