Nicky D's Coney Island — Restaurant in Detroit

Let me start by saying that I have eaten here several times over the pass 3 or so years and never had a serious problem. Today I ordered my usual, grill chicken salad with the chicken on the side and red onion added. Reasonable time was given for the order to be prepared. I arrived to pick up my order and waitress asked me what I had, I tell her, and she stated that the person who took the order did not write my name. Then the young lady grabs the bag ready to give it to me without asking for knowing what kind of dressing I wanted. There was Ranch dressing in the bag which I don't eat and never would have asked for. So I get home to find that the cheese and lettuce have a red substance on it. It was not the onion because instead of adding it like normal it was placed on the side. There was no boiled egg like normal. Beet juice on the salad. Now if I order a Greek salad no problem. I called them to inform them I wanted my money back and was told that she would have to check with the cook. I could see if a genuine mistake was made then I would want my order corrected, but this was an attempt to cover. I got the refund but no apology for the inconvenience. I...

Someone bought me some food from here prior to this and I felt it was good enough to order some for myself this time. Major mistake. Adequate food but the service is deplorable.

The worker found it to be too much work for them to punch in the price of Large chili fry because she would have to void it out. They claimed it is not in the new menu, instead gave an estimated price, and told me I would just have to come in and order it(which is idiotic for if I do not want it they "still" would have to void the item). After collecting my thoughts, I called back to speak to a manager for none of that made any sense to me.

They were cooking and I was expected to call back in a few hours. I understand that employers are needed but service likes this just continues to make businesses look bad. Not all workers are good workers.

At the end, I decided to go to my traditional coney island area. It was farther away but at least I know they knew their prices and the customer service is always pleasant.

PS. I cannot say what the atmosphere is like, for I did not go into or even to the location at all after...

I had a bad experience here..food was sloppy and the customer service was horrible. I was here around 3:30 PM August 16, 2020. As I was ordering food someone inside wearing an apron claiming to work there was begging for me to buy him food. I didn't come in the restaurant to be harassed as I was ordering. That's bad business. To make matters worse, I bought the guy some food and the lady behind the counter screwed up my order and didn't even give me my drink that went with my deluxe. The customer service was horrible. The two ladies behind the counter were ignoring me after I paid for my order and didn't even know the right amount of change to give me and almost tried to say they gave it to me when they didn't. They didn't want to put my food in a bag...I had to ask repeatedly for one...and was being ignored so much I didn't even feel like asking for the drink I paid for. I had a horrible experience. I wasted my money, time, and just about ruined my day. :( Don't eat...
