So we bought a cake for our daughter I thought I’d give them a second chance cause I had a Bad experience once before I had started going back to Mexican town bakery so I ordered a cake again for a birthday ruined everything. The cake tasted horrible. It almost tasted like if the icing was made with aspirin it tasted like if I was chewing a pill in my mouth it was horrible. I called and spoke with the manager. The manager was so nonchalant like demonstrated not even caring about the fact of how bad the cake was and then she was even rude enough to say what is it that you want your money back or do you just want another cake? I called her to tell her just to give her a pointer to not use this type of frosting again. The frosting was pink. It was supposed to be Tres leches cake on the inside. It was dry as crap and she said it was dry it wasn’t it leches I’m very disappointed. They do make good bread, but the cakes have been horrible and actually I haven’t bought the bread lately, but I have seen some reviews that their bread even taste like medicine or like floor cleaner I’m just gonna stick with Mexican bakery if you’re reading this to Mexican bakery leches cake is real Tres leches cake , drenched with Tres leches milk and I don’t see them having a problem with their frosting taste like aspirin just because it has some color to it i’m actually really upset especially the way the lady spoke to us over the phone like doesn’t she not understand the fact that we were celebrating a birthday we had to throw the damn cake out which cost $94 and she still didn’t seem to get the point bull crap never again if I’m ever asked about that bakery I’m going to tell them do...

Came in with my son to buy him a cupcake that cost $1.50. Came up to the counter and the lady ringing me up made me feel uncomfortable, as a hijabi, with the way she looked at me. I ignored it, paid for my item and left. My older brother even mentioned the discomfort with the glances once we were in the car. An hour later or so I opened my bank account to come and see that I was charge $15.68. I returned to the bakery and asked the same lady that ringed me up why she charged me $15 when my item was $1? She owned up to her mistake but then decided to tell me that I could ask her in a nicer way. To which I expressed that I’m sorry but ever since the moment I left the first time she had already made me feel uncomfortable and that I just want my money back because I’m not paying $14 worth of things when I literally purchased 1 item. Procedeed to express that she made me feel discriminated in a sense. To which she responded with “my husband is Arab”. First of all, I’m not even Arab, I never once mentioned race. Her attitude and smartass demeanor was uncalled for. She kept talking about me and what I had said to the lady I believe is her manager and a lady that was a customer. The pastries are great, I typically placed my orders from here and have continually been a customer here. Haven’t had any issues with the other employees but this situation was very poorly handled, I felt absolutely uncomfortable and...

I ordered a gender reveal cake for my family members and specified on the receipt that the filling should be blue. I placed the order on Thursday to be picked up that Sunday. It was finally time to cut the cake and there was NO FILLING! It was just a marble cake. We didn’t eat the cake either because the sole purpose of it was to be the GENDER REVEAL. We called the following Tuesday and asked for the manager on duty which was Becky. The first thing she told us was that they lost our order receipt. Then she argued that she could not do anything for us because we should’ve returned the cake on Sunday for a refund. Sorry, please explain how we were supposed to leave a party that WE were hosting to go return a cake. Becky continued to argue and then said that we could have a new cake for the same price, she then went to talk to someone else and changed her mind. She said that we could have a new cake but would still have to pay for half of it. This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not even McDonald’s would argue with their customers the way that Becky did. The workers here always have a nasty attitude and I’m not sure if it’s just with certain people or everyone that walks in the door gets the same treatment. I know A LOT of people that buy cakes here for special occasions and I will make sure they...

I was a first and last time custumer. I ordered my daughters birthday cake 2 weeks early because i always have a issuse with my lids cake every year. I mentioned this up front that i want to try them cause everywhere else fails. Lady said np. I ordered a fondant emoji cake i always wanted on thought they were cool. I came a few days before to pay off my balance on the cake made sure again it was gonna be ready they said yes. Ok so the day of the party i go to pick up my cake a hour late to give extra time to them. Get the cake its not right it is whipped topping not only due i hate it its not what i ordered. So they decided they going to fix it.2hrs later they get this cake finally done. The fondant was extremely too thick and looked rushed. I asked for you guy to be creative and you pasted pictures on to the cake I could of done a better job. And dont take me wrong thank you for doing the cake I just expect more from a bakery you been doing it for years if the girls out front did less messing around or being one there phone things would get done right and less chaos.

An Hispanic Bakery serving the community! In the ❤ of Mexican Village in Detroit on Sprinwell St. serving regional and authentic sweets from home. From sheet cakes, flan(in alot of different flavours) to Dia de los Muertos(Day of the Dead) treats & breads served at that time only, to Pinatas of all shapes. You can order costume cakes with a variety of flavours too. The rundown is you walk in, grab a tray and tongs and start adding it on your tray when done take said tray to the cashier and she bags and rings you up! Easy peasy! A must try when in the area!
