First off I only gave 4 stars due to them changing their ranch, It usually tastes like homemade buttermilk ranch but this time it tasted like regular hidden valley ranch. Now on to the review! This is our go to place for our family of 4 in Devils Lake ND, they have some really good soul food, as well as a children’s menu for our two boys. Staff is always super friendly and happy to serve you. The restaurant is a big hit for locals so if you’re from out of town and want to visit a locally owned restaurant instead of a big chain this would be an amazing choice! There is a big parking lot and also plenty of room on the side lot for semis or any other big vehicles. The atmosphere is clean and cozy and definitely feels like a mom and pop type restaurant. The food is always great and consistent and you get great portion sizes for the low prices they charge. Their specials are always good and on Fridays they have All you can eat Walleye! They also have quite a few choices of ice cream. Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant because it’s a very cozy place to eat and service is fast as well as having very friendly staff and they are always more than accommodating with our two boys. My wife wanted to add this note, they have the best chicken strips in town! Thank you to the Cedar Inn for serving us and we look forward to many more years of...
Read moreI have always loved eating at this place, never had a bad meal. Last Saturday we went and ate there and it was aweful 🤢. The lettuce tasted old, the soup was to salty, and the hash browns were gross. when I mentioned it (politely) our server was combative and rude and then asked the next table if their hashbowns were good, are you serious? I was a server for many years and not once did I ever embarrassed one of my customers by bringing other ppl into it. Then when the owner rang up our bill it was never even acknowledged. I was very upset with this whole experience and will choose another place to eat...
Read moreI will always try a place a few times before I say no more. Unfortunately this is one of those places that either I had multiple times of bad luck, or they really are not that good. If you are looking for decent service then they have that, but as for their food, everytime my husband and I tried eating here the food was never good. The hashbrowns and toast several times had been soggy, and the eggs are flavorless. We went back for lunch on a couple of different days ordered burgers and again, there wasn't...
