Pita Way - Dewitt — Restaurant in DeWitt Charter Township

I work in Frandor and my coworkers would always talk about this place, Pita Way, that had to try. The only location that they made me aware of was the one over near campus in East Lansing. I started going there and the food was amazing. Then I found out there was one in Dewitt, by my house, so I started going there. This week has been super long. Between working full time and this being the week that I have my son, this Friday I did not feel like cooking. I place a delivery order on the website and checked out using Apple Pay. I double clicked, it scanned my face and I got the banner saying that my account was charged. After I saw that tho, there was an error that popped up on screen about my delivery time being changed and it tried to make me pay again. I double checked my account and saw that the money had come out so I called PW to see if my order went through. Kenneth answered the phone and I told him the situation. He did a little checking while we were on the phone and could not find my order in the system. We both agreed that that was no good and he asked me if he could give me a call back. I said sure and waited for the call. He called me back and told me that he spoke w his boss and his boss said to send me a gift card and have me order it again. They didn’t have to do what they did but I do appreciate it. The food ended up showing up early, delivered by this nice guy who was all smiles when he showed up. I appreciate it so much and am so happy to know how well they take care of their customers. Kenneth apologized for the situation and told me that the gift card was a small price to pay for me staying a customer. You better believe I’m staying a customer. I actually love the food here! It’s fresh and flavorful and the staff is always very nice, polite and up beat. However the only thing I would like to mention for constructive criticism is that I think they need to be more organized and dedicate one worker on every job (one person on line, one person as cashier, one cooking the meats) etc so they can make sure the everyone’s orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner . Almost every time I visit there’s 5 or more people working but it is very unorganized and people are kept waiting much longer for their food than they need to- and there’s a lot Of confusion with staff on what orders are waiting for what and then the orders back up and are sitting there that could be completed because everyone’s rushing around doing multiple jobs and some orders get forgotten about . Some orders don’t get completed timely because of the lack of organization / communication with the workers because they don’t know who’s waiting for what (fries, crispy chicken) that take longer to cook in the fryer. Again, I love this place and the food is great and I know it’s a newer restaurant and they are busy and probably still trying to find their flow of business-but I think having one person on a job would do wonders for making sure orders are getting completed from...

Update review: Manager is one heck of a nice guy, all employees really are. Had some issues with last visit and I had the opportunity to address a couple things at a new visit. The employee without hesitation apologized and did a good deed. This goes a long way in my opinion. As my previous visit, this time too, the food really good. My kids appreciate the free kids food when a adult meal is purchased. I also appreciate the employee using a measure cup for my chicken. It says that I'm actually receiving what Im paying for, not like last time when a few pieces were added to the top. Consistency is key! The fresh food is great. The prices for me are a little over the tipping point still. But the free kids food kind of compensates for that cost. Having the kids receive that is very helpful. And they eat every single grain of rice, chicken and veggies. They rave the whole time about how they love the food. Thank you to the employee for understanding, being kind, and making things right. I will definitely be back...
