I've been to this location a few times now and made the decision to no longer give them my business. Last week I came in to a young male & female (neither wearing a name tag) who were whispering and snickering throughout the time my order was being made. The female repeated herself a few times because she was too invested in her conversation to remember my answer from moments before. It was extremely uncomfortable having them shoot looks at eachother and laugh while I just stood there. One would only be left to feel as though they were talking about the customer. I was upset but was polite and shrugged it off as silly kids. Today 8/19 around 8pm I went in again and it was the same two kids working. This time there were a few other customers seated. The male (still neither had a name tag) helped me. He is so underwhelming its unbelievable he can hold down a job in the service industry. Not a hello, not a smile, zero eye contact, just a monotone "what can I get you?" The female walks to the entrance and starts talking with her friends. The male is watching them the whole time and asks me the same questions repeatedly (dejavous) because he's so focused on them. A customer tells him the machines out of ice and she needs some. He says he'll do it when he's finished but the female worker doesn't budge to help him, just continues her personal convo and is whispering and laughing with her friends. He finished my order and cashes me out. Hands me my change, I say "okay thanks" and he just turns to help the next person. I watch and he has a similar interaction. Still remaining straight faced and Kurt. This is completely unacceptable behavior. I've been in the public service industry for 2 decades and I would never allow my staff to behave in this manner. I hope it is...
Read moreHorrible customer skills, from the employees to the managers to the owners. Remember without customers you don't need employees, managers or owners. Funny how the owner won't even respond to any of his reviews, good or bad lol. So here's a tip to the owner, it's obvious if you read the reviews, but here's the tip anyways....... so for about the past year there's a ton of bad reviews....... for the past year there's been the rudest, most snobbiest girls working there. Here's the tip......HIRE NEW STAFF!!! They are more worried about arguing with you, the paying customer, about how you want your sub made!?!? Wasn't subway built on the idea of having your sub your way?!?! There are reviews saying the place is clean...... them people must work there, know the owner or for paid lol. I've never seen it clean and nobody washes their hands between doing things...... remember, just cause you put gloves on, your hands that touched them gloves are not clean. Sorry it's an inconvenience to you when I ask you to wash your hands before making my sub. They act like it's an inconvenience to just wait on you, smh.
So my family and I will go from 1 to 3 visits a week to never again. Might just campaign against DeWitt subway, may even start an anti DeWitt subway page just to keep the public informed and safe from dirty rude places.
Oh and let me do the math for you....... at one fist a week for a year at a $15 average total you're looking at losing $780 a year. At 3 visits a week for a year that's over $2300 a year that you won't get from us ever again. And the other 10 bad reviews that won't come back again that's anywhere from a $8,000 to a $20,000 loss a year just from poor customer...
Read moreAn average subway. The lighting within this subway really can set a melancholy mood if went to during the wrong time. Overall, the food is typical subway food - good tasting, but with the slight hint that what you are actually consuming may not even be real meat or vegetables. I would recommend going back in circumstances where you need to grab quick food, but want to look healthy when doing so. In terms of employees, the ones here are kind and greet you with a simple "hello" and are quick to make your sub. All in all, the subway franchise is a poor man's Jimmy Johns and although customer service and food quality can be quite strong, I'd only recommend eating here in a last resort type scenario. A good quote to leave you with is "If the world is ending and you're starving, taking the time to go to a Subway simply...
