I was VERY disappointed in the carryout I got recently (egg foo young, curry shrimp and hot & sour soup). NONE of it was up to par to what I have eaten there before, or elsewhere, for that matter. Are they under new management?? The sauce for the egg foo young was BLACK like tar and tasted burnt and salty. (See picture. 🤮 Taken in November 2022, I think, and I've not been back since!) The curry shrimp was spicy hot, but otherwise tasteless and the hot & sour soup did not taste good either: there were very few ingredients except for mushrooms and they were chewy. I've gotten the same takeout there MANY times and it was very good. Oh my goodness!!!! Not so this time. There was a new person who waited on me too, this time. The boneless chicken tasted like unseasoned rubber, the rice was horrible. No flavor. None of it had any flavor. The crab Rangoon had very very little filling and the dough tasted like some kind of sweet pastry dough but not a good sweet. The egg roll tasted old and grease soaked. Nothing had flavor. The sweet & sour sauce was so thick, it was like a jello. I’m seriously not sure how this place has such good reviews. The eggrolls were crisp and packed w flavor, the rangoons were delicate and delicious, we had several different entrees. One was the special order of just broccoli no beef which was great and prevented a very picky eater from whining. There was so much mandarin chicken that was supposed to be a New Year's Eve dinner, was enough for leftovers well into the new year. Sadly we weren't given fortune cookies.
