I will start out with the owner is very dismissing to me and would only talk to my fiancé when we were at the restaurant… even though I was the one asking questions (as the bride who has more knowledge about the wedding, he should of acknowledged me). We had reached out to the owners about booking our wedding for June of 2025. We went out and tried the food in July of 2024 and had booked them the same month. Eric had told us that he would write out a quote for us and send us an email. We hadn’t heard from him for many months we would call the resturant and they would tell us that he would get back to us, we would never get a call back from him or his staff. In January of 2025 we drove 3 hrs to his resturant to able to get ahold of him, cause he wasn’t returning our calls and we didn’t have an email to reach him at either. We asked to speak to him and maybe after waiting 20 mins he came out to our table to talk to us. (FINALLY AFTER 5 MONTHS OF NOT HEARING FROM HIM!) It felt like he didn’t care to listen or hear our concerns at all when we were talking to him, he then went straight to saying how he is willing to say his communication isn’t his strong suit. He continued to blame us for our “ Attitude” as we were on way out of his resturant he had stopped us to tell us that. We approached him with a calm demeanor and he wasn’t willing to talk and made us feel stupid. He finally sent us a quote that weekend, I then replied to his quote a while later with some questions I had. He had responded to my emails and within those emails he had said he no longer offers full service catering anymore. Which when we had booked him he had told us he does formal catering services and then when we went out to his restaurant he had told us that he would do a buffet style service…. Nothing about no full service. Me and my fiancé are very patient and kind of people and he was not! Very disappointed about their customer service and Eric is very rude. They restaurant has great food, but that is no way to treat...
Read moreI have been following the Grub Tub in a Facebook group called North Dakota Foodies. The photos posted of their food and specials looked so yummy! They started as a food truck and are now a brick & mortar. Today was the day we were passing through and we stopped for lunch. We were greeted when entering. They have a sandwich board style sign that has the special and the soup of the day. Jade was our server got us drinks right away. Love that they have Coke products, served in Coca cola glasses, and the servers were wearing coke t-shirts. There is beautiful art work on the walls. They have booths and tables to sit at. I had to try the bacon Knoephla soup, it was not traditional tasting but was so yummy! It has the larger dumplings with potatoes, carrots niece size pieces of bacon in it. I had the special: garlic red Argentina shrimp Alfredo angel hair pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly! The Alfredo was deliciously creamy. The baguette toast served with it was soooo good! The dining experience was awesome! The others dining with me had a wrap, chili and a bacon cheeseburger. They were all happy with their food choices. So happy finally got to try this place. Dickinson has a real...
Read moreHusband found this place online as we were staying in area for a couple of days to visit the Teddy Roosevelt National Park. What a find. We went their two nights in a row for dinner because we enjoyed the food and service. Happened to get Emmi on second night, and she immediately recognized us.
Fried green beans appetizer and the yummy dipping sauce Highly recommend.
Place is known for burgers, which they do really well. First night. Husband ordered the ring burger and I the mushroom and cheese. Burgers juicy. The seasoning they use, very tasty. He had the seasoned fries. Crispy and good. I opted to sub fries for salad. Very generous portion.
Second night, fried green beans again. Bacon chicken sandwich and fries for husband. I the grilled chicken salad. Delicious. Wish we would have had room to try their made from scratch desserts.
Beer was reasonably priced, too.
The only feedback we would give is to be open longer. The second day , we got their well after 7 pm (day was spent hiking) and knew they closed at 8 pm
Thanks for a great...
