Oishi Hibachi Express — Restaurant in Dixon Township

I've driven past here so many times and I've always been curious about their food. I finally stopped and ordered the best food that I've had in months!! The woman who took my order (Shandy, I think) was so pleasant and accommodating. I had a few questions and she answered them without any problem. My food was so fresh, the portion was very generous (I actually got 3 meals out of it) and it was absolutely delicious!! My chicken and fried rice was cooked to perfection. My mixed vegetables were steamed just the way that I like them. The spring rolls with the Yum Yum sauce were the perfect pairing to my entree. Tried this for the first time tonight. Definitely will be back. The avocado roll actually came with pickled ginger and wasabi, unusual for our little town. The hibachi chicken was tender and well flavored. The veggies still had a bit of crunch. The fried rice wasn’t my favorite ever, but it was fine. Husband had steak and chicken. We stopped here for a quick bite as we were driving through to Rockford. Definitely worth the stop and will have to make this stop next time we’re driving through Dixon. We enjoyed the chicken and veggies - flavor was excellent. Would have preferred more veggies and less rice but that’s just a personal preference - the chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious.
