Town & Country Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Dixon Township

Normally really great service and food but not last visit. We had not been here in 2 years. We always used to get country fried steak there on Sundays and we had a craving for it so we went there. The place was not busy which was odd for a Sunday so we sat right down. No waitress came to our table after 10 minutes so we had to ask someone if we could order. No country fried steak til lunch which was upsetting so we ordered meat skillets and pancakes. Food came really slow and we were sitting up front and saw the staff take our pancakes from the pick up area where the cooks put it and kept putting them in the microwave!? So they they were rubbery. My skillet was good but his had very little meat and tasted blah. We let the waitress know so the waitress took a few dollars off of our bill but it was still over 30 dollars not including tip! Just was not good overall. ...

Went here for breakfast/brunch on Sunday, prices were higher than I expected, but portions were large enough to make up for it. We had all our kids split a plate, (8 of them). The server was polite, and the service was very quick. For as many plates as our table ordered, it felt like no sooner than we all ordered, the server was returning to the table with the food. Only real disappointment was that for what seemed like an otherwise classic diner, they did not have some classic foods on the menu. I was wanting some good biscuits and gravy but that's not even on their menu.

5 people with 5 totally different types of food and not one of us was happy with our food,had one meal sent back and replaced....and they didn't like that meal either and I don't consider any of us to be picky.It just seems like the cooks don't care about the quality of the ingredients or the preparation, but the waitresses were at least trying to cover for them.I want small business to survive, but taste your own food and have honest people try it for you,and if you need to make changes to stay in business,make those changes.We will come back and try again discreetly in 3 months and hope it's improved,and if so I will take this review down and...
