El Verduzco — Restaurant in Dixon

On 7/27 we visited El Verduzco. When we got there we were asked to sit in table 15. Overall it was busy, (I dont eat Menudo) but my husband does. The young lady who sat us Nicely said "if you are here for the menudo we dont have any, but I can double check" my husband said "sure if you can check, as she turned around another worker came towards our table and very annoyed and angrily told me they dont have menudo anymore (with a nasty attitude). I told the young lady serving us that it was fine not a big deal; we ordered other things in the menu. Fast forward to paying: when we went to go pay for what we had ordered, the lady said "it looks like its been paid for!" We didn't know any one there so we doubted that was the case, my husband said ok, well can we pay for what we ate? Maybe they forgot to put it in. The girl had us wait about 5 minutes when she discovered no one had paid for table 14 and they had left. It was their mistake; they charged the wrong table! We didnt refuse to pay, we wanted to pay for our food but they told us we couldn't leave until THEY figured it out; I was upset, because now they were not letting us leave: not letting us pay for our food and we had to wait for them to figure out THEIR mistake! We ended up having to pay for table 14's food! Ridiculous! I would say to check your receipts/charges...

Alright, allow me to give you an honest critique. The Sunday "karaoke" it's not working out, you're running a restaurant not a club. I was honestly trying to enjoy my food and the music was too loud plus speakers on the other side of the restaurant were playing a completely different song. clean the tables, please get a moist rag, preferably with cleaning solution and wipe the tables. The staff did not get my order right but it's fine, if they did I would have tipped 20% like I usually do. if you steam clean the floors and replace the tables, chairs, and a nice brand new coat of paint then I would understand the prices, but for the aged atmosphere I don't. There's a sign that says something along the lines of "if you have complaints, yesterday was the last day to submit them" or something like that, very unwelcoming. retrain the staff, how did they get confused where my tables order came from the place is tiny.

Absolutely appalling the exceptionally rude, cold, and combative 3 muchachas who were working on the floor serving customers on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Seriously have not experienced anything resembling this nightmare in my life and I have worked in plenty of restaurants so I feel that I have a pretty keen idea of what is acceptable and absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances; as was the case at this particular establishment. Mindblowingly unprofessional! It's difficult to explain the attitudes these servers had but it was best described as overtly rude and snotty. Examples would be slamming plates as they walked past the table and we were the only table being actively served so it wasn't that they were rushing to attend to other tables.
