Had Sunday lunch with the family, my wife had received information about the restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it did not go so well, the service was decent but the food was not the best, I had the Posta Cartagenera the presentación was good but the meat was very hard to chew, I’ve had this plate at other restaurants and the meat was soft and tender, the patacon was very hard to chew not crisp. My wife ordered the Cucayo which is their typical plate was not very tasty the the rice should be crispy to eat not hard as a rock where you can chip a tooth , the sauce that came with it was cold as if it was just taken out of the fridge not warm or at room temperature. My son and his girlfriend both had the Sancocho where the presentation was good but the meal in it self was very blan requiring to add salt and pepper constantly. Very pricey for the type of food that is served, I will not be returning, first impressions are very important unfortunately the first impression...
Read moreI am someone who likes to ask questions and get information before I go to a new place; I make the effort to call ahead so I am prepared.
I called this restaurant the day before President's Day to ensure what time they would be open, they said 11am. I arrived at 11:15am (fully expecting that they'd need a little time to set up) and was told they would actually open at 12 noon. To the owner/manager, please take this feedback in good faith and make the necessary improvements. The goal is not just to complain, or scold, the goal is to inform you so you have the opportunity...
Read moreCame all the way from homestead fl, super hyped to bring my 78 y/o mom Saturday Feb 17th around 6pm, there were no tables available after a bit less than an hour they sat us down to find that more than half of the menu wasn't available, pretty much the plates that we came for, the staff is very unprofessional and they were offering pretty much the left overs “ literally the owner said that” ( you just cant say that! Mostly cose their prices are like a 5 star restaurant and this place don't get to a one star. For less prices we end it up going to “La Matriarca” also Colombian and located also in Doral and they even had live entertainment and the best Posta Cartagenera i have tried, im definitely not coming back to this place. Honestly i would hadn't mind if the had told us before the waiting mostly when there was an...
