During my 6 day trip to Atlanta, we went to this place twice! Yes, I am biased because I am Indonesian and these are my native food and I crave them when they are available. Also, Seattle doesn't have anymore Indonesian restaurants, so naturally I wanted to visit and try this place out. So, let's review the food. The food is awesome, authentic, and spicy just like in Indonesia! We tried plenty of dishes in our short visit. They are well known for their Bebek goreng cabe hijau (fried duck in green chili). This was amazing, we loved it, and ate it all Satay ayam was also good and kids love it. I like the bihun goreng, it's just like the bihun i have Indonesia. We also have the 3 item plate and went with gule Kikil, tempe, and tahu goreng. It was good as well. When we went on a later date before we head to the airport, we also ordered a few more items, like batagor, terong balado, and gule ampela. They were good as well. Their avocado smoothie also hits the spot, so I highly recommend them. The portions are generous, price is fair, flavor is good. Definitely, if you are interested in trying an Indonesian cuisine, give this place a try!

I got shrimp and chicken combination nasi goreng and beef rendang with extra sambal on the side. Everything was delicious! The rendang was cooked so well it was almost falling apart in a thick stew with a very good flavor. All of the tendon was cooked tender and delicious! The sambal had a great flavor. I could taste all of the flavors I expected, including the shrimp paste, so I don't think the recipes are Americanized. The combination nasi goreng was great and nothing was overcooked at all. The rice had a nice shine and there were no clumps. The shrimp was juicy, but still had a nice slightly crispy exterior. The egg was the right texture. The portion was great! I couldn't eat it all, so I ate half and am saving the other half for lunch at work tomorrow. I'm excited to dive into it. If you like spice, don't skip the sambal on the nasi goreng! It has a great flavor and if you just put it on parts of the rice, then you can enjoy two great flavors of nasi goreng!

While the food was undeniably authentic in flavor, there were several areas that fell short. We ordered sweet tea, but it was far too sweet and tasted like it had been sitting since the day before, not fresh at all (more of like yesterday tea). Upon arrival, we had to wait several minutes to be seated, and it took even longer before our server acknowledged us. The portion sizes were generous, which we appreciated. However, I specifically requested sambal for my soto betawi and was given an Americanized version, overly vinegary and lacking any real heat. It was so off that I almost grabbed a jar of the authentic version from their shelf display. I understand the need to appeal to a wider audience, but please offer the real Indonesian sambal when asked. To top it off, our server forgot part of our order, and another staff member had to come back to clarify. The experience had potential, but these lapses held it back.

I found so many varieties of Indonesian food and snacks, the restaurant is hectic more like a food court style (a hole in the wall like many described). Many of the food from the menu are on display, you get to choose your combo. If it's not on the display, you can still order a la carte (take a little bit of time to be served). The groceries area inside the restaurant is very convenient. You can do grocery after lunch or while waiting for your order to be served 😍🤣.

People are complaining about rude staff, I am going to say, sometimes they do get slammed on service and trying to handle groceries and serving foods and picking up order on the phone on her own is kind of tough. The owner managed and serve the customer herself. This is just a perspective what to expect if you want to try this restaurant. This is how it's normally done in the "warung nasi" (little restaurant) in Indonesia 🇮🇩. And I am perfectly content with that 😀👌(you got to do what you got to do).

Looking forward to go again and try different things (they have so many different varieties, have to go back and try them all, they're all...
