This place is now kind of hit or miss.. I used to come here almost every week over the last two+ years to sit at a table and work. There was always a table available (if you got there early enough) with an outlet close by. Even the patio has an outlet if you’d like to work outside. The drinks were always great and the snacks (spring rolls, bacon cheese fries) were good too. Service was always friendly and quick as well. However, I don’t know what’s happened over the last few months but something has changed and not for the better.. the Thai Tea has become grainy and tastes old, some of the other milk teas I’ve gotten have tasted “off” as well. I’ve also always asked when I purchased the bacon cheese fries if I could get the cheese throughout the fries as when I don’t, most of the fries don’t get any of it on them, same with the bacon. Normally this is never an issue but today it definitely seemed like it was. They always ask if you’d like to add green onion to the fries and I say yes because it’s normally just a sprinkle on top for additional flavor. However, today someone must’ve been irritated by the ask and instead looks like the entire bucket of onions was dumped on top of the fries to make a point. I stood outside by the garbage and shoveled onion off of my fries and into a trash can for at least 5 minutes. Read moreI called the Sweet Hut Doraville location to order two cakes, one of which needed to be customized. I originally wanted the Strawberry cake, but it normally comes with a pink coating and I needed it for my fiancé’s birthday party this Saturday (September 13th). I placed the order today (Wednesday, September 10th). At first I thought it wouldn’t be possible as I was unaware that custom cakes usually require at least a 10 day notice to order.
Thankfully, the staff gave me the contact information for Lillian, who works at the central office and manages special orders for all six Sweet Hut locations. Lillian went above and beyond to help me. She was able to have the pink coating changed to white for my fiancé’s birthday, and she made sure it would be ready in time for the birthday celebration.
Since Lillian is based in the central office, I wasn’t able to tip her directly, so I want to use this review to express my gratitude and appreciation. Her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. She turned what seemed like an impossible request into a reality.
I sincerely hope that Sweet Hut’s leadership sees this and recognizes Lillian for her outstanding customer service. She absolutely deserves acknowledgment and honestly, a raise for her hard work and dedication. Employees like her are the reason customers like me will return and recommend Sweet Hut to others.

Read moreI used to come to this Sweet Hut location frequently with friends and never had an issue. However, the last few times that I’ve been there I have experienced horrible customer service. A past time I was there and the staff completely forgot my order. I waited for a while after seeing multiple people come and go without my order being called. I only had a bubble tea.
Tonight, I decided to try this place again. I ordered a matcha latte. When they first delivered the latte it had very little matcha in it. It looked like milk. So, I asked for more matcha. The young woman that I asked originally asked for more matcha preceded to whisper to several of her coworkers. She then sat my drink down. Every staff member behind the counter had on gloves except for the one staff member who grabbed my drink, ripped off the lid with his bare hands turned his back to me with my drink in his hand.
I asked the cashier why the one staff member with my drink didn’t have gloves on. The cashier said he would remake the order.
I watched every move. The staff member without gloves sat my remixed latte down on the counter. Then the cashier grabbed that same tea and called my name. I’m starting to think this establishment treats people of color differently as this is not my first time having an issue with this location.
