Hardee’s — Restaurant in Dothan

First off, l love Hardee's. I've been eating at their restaurants since I was a kid in the 70's. I want to start with the positives. The food was fresh and fantastic. I placed a large order for my work and the order was perfectly correct down to the special orders. No complaints on the food or order accuracy.

I went to the mobile ordering area when I arrived and I wasn't greeted (no one was greeted). Okay, you're busy, I get it. Other patrons waited at the counter for a long time before they could place their orders. None of the staff made eye contact with anyone, except the girl taking orders at the register, but only when she was taking orders at the register would she look at someone. After an order was placed the girl would run around and fill that order before she came back to take the next order. Seemed a little inefficient, but I assume there was a reason it was done that way.

I had waited for maybe 8 - 10 minutes (my large mobile order was supposed to be ready at 9:00) and the young lady at the register finally looked at me and asked about my order. When I told her I had a large mobile order and told her my name, she stated "Oh, that is in the back". She then brought up my order right away. If anyone had asked my name or what I was picking up when I arrived, I would have been in and out in 2 minutes.

I think the worst problem was there was one woman working in the kitchen who was fussing and complaining about everyone and everything continuously and loudly. Another woman on the opposite side of the kitchen, who appeared to be a manager, wasn't much better. She did try to direct the young girl at the register to take orders quicker, to her credit. A man complained about his bacon not being cooked as crisp as he asked (not a thing at Hardee's - they really don't know what crispy bacon is and never have) and she took the biscuit, wheeled around and threw it in the garbage, went to the kitchen complaining about the crew, and assembled another biscuit and gave it to the man. She never looked him in the face one time.

I hope this was a one off. I know good staffing is hard to find and running a fast food restaurant is no picnic, but just a little eye contact and communication, even "we'll be right with you", would go a long way toward making the...

I understand everyone is short staffed. I understand you're overworked and understand appreciated. I try to be as polite as possible. I was pleasant when you had an attitude when you asked if that was all and I wasn't done. I let it go when you snapped at me to interrupt and shout at me what my drink request would be. I was prepared to let every rude thing you did slide until you whispered something under your breath before I drove around and you may not have realized your mic was still on. I had NO PROBLEM ditching the line. Yes, we have to respect workers that are showing up, bit you don't have the right to treat me and my family like that. Respect goes both ways. I hope I can dissuade as many people from your business as possible. I refuse to be disrespectful , but also refuse.to be disrespected. It wasn't even busy, I was the.only one.in line at the time. Looking at the.other reviews it's clear you don't even care by the lack of responses, so this is aimed towards anyone else reading this. I was completely OFFENDED by your staff drive thru. I know I am a city girl, but there was no reason for the staff to be so bluntly rude, laugh and say that she could not understand my accent. I would have never told her that I didn't not understand her accent. Every city has there own way of talking and some have a city accent and others have a southern accent and some have a foreign accent. I have never in my 53 years been so offended and felt discriminated by another culture and I come from a city that is completely diverse and surrounded by people from other cultures and ethnicities. This establishment needs to reconsider their training and hiring procedures. This was my first time at Hardee's and I can honestly say, it will be my last time visiting a Hardee's, it left much to be desired.
