Update again, decided to give one more chance won't do it again! So we Spent $250 on supper for the family to go missing half the order even $10 worth of it they're hush puppies we ordered a pile of seafood and didn't even get two free hush puppies with the meal missing a lot of the seafood salad was terrible and even though they charge $3 per extra for salad as a side we had to fix it ourselves and it tasted rotten . Charge $2 for saucers which we didn't get . Missing half the sides not to mention that the flounder That was supposed to be grilled and shrimp the grill was fried as well as missing two orders of fried shrimp with two other plates . Called and spoke to the back-end manager said they has new people and KNEW THIS WAS AN ISSUE! He promised to make it right even if he had to drive out that bring the food himself and he would call me back in 5 minutes and let me know. We'll it is almost 24 hours later still hadn't heard from Zach or anyone and nobody's going to do anything to make the order right but I'll be damned if I want to give them another dollar I suggest if you're looking for something else spend your money at Captain D's your food will be more edible and you'll get more for your money's worth I guarantee you I can of tuna would it take to better than this crap and I don't even eat that crap !
Edit 8/5/23 wow new building is drab as all get out so cold made me sick was shaking so hard could not eat $130 for 3 meals I mean WOW Prices up, quality is down, as well, didnot get salad before the meal if i wanted ss just a side would have daid. Wait, staff all kids laughing playing and rven talking about the customers like its high school. Ask about pickles and was told, and i qoute oh we can't find them anymore, man we bought from no longer sells them. ThTs a lie at least got the same pickles at DJ's in Rot 2 weeks ago. Maybe he just stopped selling to these guys. No sald bar at all anymore sald still is pitiful as a side. Old; They were as now they charge for the always before famous pickles and hush puppies. I mean, really, and I understand as a business owner the cost os attrocious esp in the food service to run. But once you change too much of the staples of a basically historic restaurant just because you bought it and think it will work, it may break you. Look at P.o. Boys crystal had to close it trying to sell it for too high a price after playing with the food etc. Our local little economy will not stand for it too much, or you'll be closing too. BTW the salad bar comes on, it's a joke less stuff than before and dressing choices. Wow. With what you have for choices on it now and the fact you charge for the pickles and pups, the salad bar should be used as a free enticment to get...
Read moreThis was my first time knowing about this restaurant in Douglas. Apparently it was opened last year in the downtown shopping district on the Main Street. It may be a little tricky to get to for parking but it is worth it, or at least when we went it was. We had to park in the side of another building and walk down to it. It was rather busy for Wednesday evening. We only had to wait about 5 minutes though just because we preferred a booth instead of sitting next to a huge crowd for a birthday party. I ordered the jumbo shrimp platter and it was almost more than I could eat for $18.99 and it came with two sides. Usually you only get a few shrimp at most restaurants or have to pay extra just to get a few extra but my whole plate was covered (your choice of how you want them cooked) and for the price you can’t beat it. They also had steak and other seafood, a few sandwiches and also a salad bar with pretty big bowls. My son had the hamburger and FF which was huge and my friend had the grilled salmon and sides. I left completely full and they almost had to roll me out it was all so good I didn’t want to stop eating lol. I will be returning and recommending it to everybody I know that likes seafood and steak dinners…with the best hands down loaded mashed potatoes…better than Chili’s and more of bargain for everything you get. I even saw one couple eating a bucket of crab legs even though they weren’t on the menu. Not sure of the prices of those or the steaks since they are market fresh prices when you order but mostly you could get a meal ranging from $15 or so to $30. Something’s were more expensive but they were huge items that would be worth it. Just an awesome new place to find hidden...
Read moreWe attended this establishment for a birthday party. The waitress brought out the hush puppies which seemed to be hard as a brick. We requested some fresh ones for a party of 10 and were only given one serving. Two people ordered the shrimp and grits. They both complained about it being too salty and one person just completely changed their order. 3 people ordered the sweet potato fries and they were dark, greasy, and had a burnt taste. I ordered the catfish and shrimp with fries. My food came out cold, the fish was very dehydrated and stale tasting. The waitress came around and asked how was it. I told her not good and she asked was i serious. I told her about the fish and she said she would let the manager know. I didn’t hear back from her until it was time to hand out the bill. I asked if I would be compensated for the fish. She stated that she told the manager. She told the manager a second time, and then she came to speak with me. I explained that everyone in our party had a problem with the fish. She stated that they had been serving all day and no one else had complained. She then told me if i would had said something earlier, she would have cooked some fresh. I did say something earlier but didn’t get a response. All of the food tasted very bland, no seasoning at all, it was cold, and the waiter never came back to check our drinks. You are forced to pay a tip % if your meal is over $8. For my party of one, I paid $37 for cold disgusting food and service. I don’t mind paying good money for good food.We all agreed to never return!!! I do not recommend this establishment!!! FYI I am a business owner and we strive to make our clients...
