Where do I start. Our first road bump was when we asked if my GF could get the kids spaghetti portion. Now we wouldn't normally do this but she is two days removed from mild jaw surgery and she is splinted on the upper part of her mouth. The response we got was "my boss is very strict about adults not ordering from the kid menu, we can give a smaller portion but have to charge adult price." So we ordered the spaghetti. She was asked if she wanted soup or salad. Obviously soup was the choice. Chili was the only option that sounded some what edible for her. Enter road bump two, they shouldn't serve the two together. They are made with the same meat sauce. Just add beans for chili or add it over pasta. I understand rules but it wasn't like we were trying to pull one over on them my GF is visibly healing. The waitress could have made an attempt to ask her Grinch of a boss to make an exception. Not only that but the amount of food waste was uncalled for just like the whispers and pointing from the other customers. It was our first time and not local. Needless to say we will not...
Read moreI had reviewed this a few years back when it was a typical small town diner, if you like pureed food this is the diner for you! Are there new owners? I had the salad combo, it was so visually unappealing when it arrived, the lettuce that it was placed on appeared as if they cut it into spaghetti strips with a scissors, they had laid two pieces of processed cheese over the top, it looked gross, tuna was dry as was the chicken salad, the egg salad was ok. My husband got a fish sandwich that looked like a hockey puck and he said tasted dry and burnt that too was visually unappealing! Food has to look good. How can a food business allow this garbage to be served? The place doesn't look clean either, as we drove away the back door is a disgrace to be seen, banged up and dirty. This is not the servers fault for awful food. Not that you care, we will never...
Read moreFirst and last time I will ever walk in this place. Just like all the other establishments in the area that are on the level of this "restaurant", very poor in all aspects. Do not be fooled by the packed parking lot (it's a small lot). This "restaurant" and others like it need to take lessons from New Jersey diners on how to prepare and present food at affordable prices. My husband didn't eat the flounder he ordered because it tasted like nothing. I picked at my turkey because the gravy that was slopped over the top made it unappealing. The ham steak my son ordered was way too thick and needed to be grilled more. A bowl of iceberg lettuce with some carrot shavings, a few onion pieces, and one faded tomato slice does not constitute a salad! Save yourself the bother. A little further down the road and I could have gotten a better meal...
