The first thing I would suggest is lighting up the menu board. Could not read much it because it was too dark. It's really old, which is fine, but put some lighting back in the whole thing. The food is decent. After eating some of the fries, I realized these were exact copies of Mcdonalds fries. The burger seemed familiar tasting also. It was a very large burger. If it had a sesame seed bun, it would be an exact copy of a Whopper with cheese from Burger King. I wish it were more unique. The prices are better than fast food chains. The environment is classic, like the 80s look. Even the register is old school( they at least take credit cards). Definitely retro feel and even an arcade game system that plays older games(think Atari graphics). I would still recommend it. They have great ice cream cones. Also, there are no paper towels in the restroom. How do you miss that as employees?*Update 6/10/25* Onion rings are good. Pat attention to prices on paper signs and the upper full menu sign might be different slightly because, why not (example, Flurry $3.29 or $3.50), which is it? Napkins had to turn around the holder because it was empty on one side. Float had very little ice cream. I'm just gonna skip this place in the future...

What is going on? We have lived here since 2000 and used to love the food and friendliness that used to embody The Dairy Dip. Over the past few years it has continued to go downhill. Tonight I wanted a slaw chili dog which no one else offers the slaw except The Dip and after I sunk my teeth into my hotdog and put it down I saw the mold!!!!!!! I called to speak with the manager and she told me she would speak to cook because he should have checked the buns prior. I told her she and everyone should be checking on the quality and inventory of their products. I had already chewed and swallowed some of this. She offered a refund or a remake. I believe she should have offered both. I had the rest of my family check their food. I was the only one who ordered hot dogs. If you eat at this establishment, please check your food and hold them accountable. This happened on December 17th, 2024 and I called them to complain at 4:06pm if anyone in charge (hello owners) wants to check up on this and retrain your staff. Most of the time the teenagers you have working are sipping drinks and chitchatting gathered behind the counter. Where is Gordon Ramsey when an inspection is needed, stat!

THE EXPERIENCE- We were in town visiting and stopped at this local joint for lunch. The reviews were good so we ventured to try it. We were very disappointed. Most of the employees could care less about their safety or that of their customers. I only saw two people wearing masks, one of which had it around his chin. It didn't cover neither his nose or mouth. It was as if COVID-19 did not exist. The cashier never wore a mask. She didn't even have one on her. Most customers were maskless as well and not a single employee said anything about it. THE FOOD - The food was ok. The burger tasted similar to the ones from Burger King. THE SERVICE - The service was terrible. The wait was long and to top it off, they forgot one of the meals from our order. They are not organized. Customers came and went and they would take their orders but would deliver the food orders randomly. Too bad it was so disappointing. I had high hopes for the historic place.
