Less authentic than chipotle if they're calling it Mexican cuisine. Didn't even feel comfortable ordering with some guys sitting literally 2 ft from you eating by the register. Wonder if they didn't read Mexican on the sign outside. I hope no one here is recommending this place as authentic Mexican food . Rice bowl is no comparison to chipotle and there is no real flavor in the meat, rice or beans. It's the cheap mass production orange rice that's like mush when you bite, beans has no flavor whatsoever and the meat was legit just taco meat so no just small meat diced with flavor. Btw add like 3 or 4 bucks to any meals you see. Rice bowl shows as $8.** Here but it's actually $12 for a small cold bowl of mostly mush rice with no flavor. Stick to chipotle for rice bowls and go anywhere else for Mexican food with some type of seasoning.

Fantastic little place with delicious food. I'm not a stickler for "authenticity" and don't feel qualified to comment on that aspect, but their meals are not the flavors of average Tex Mex cuisine, which is a major plus in my book. It definitely has its own personality. Highly recommend the chicken tamale, if available, as well as their green salsa. Spicy but delicious! For the disabled folks, the disabled parking is a tad far from the door, but manageable. There are tables not booths so that's a plus. The bathroom may be a little difficult to manage. Also the chairs are very hard.

Fresh and delicious. Everything was great and at a good price. An excellent place to go for Mexican food. Chips and Salsa were free for dining in customers. Chips were fresh fried in vegetable oil and came with two very delicious and fresh salsas. I got the Cochinita Pibil, a generous portion of slow simmered pork served with homemade black beans seasoned with pork bits in it, fresh homemade corn tortillas, and fluffy rice. Service was fast and friendly. No regrets I would go here anytime.

I love a lot of things about this place and dislike only a few things. First of all the people are friendly and helpful. The ingredients are also very good quality and fresh. The tortillas are the best or just as good as the best I've had at a restaurant ever...to include all the Rick Bayless places and places I've been to in L.A. I grew up in a mexican household and they are the closest to the tortillas abuela used to make. The flan is hands down the best flan I've ever had. I love the fact that when they describe something as spicy, it is actually spicy. For people who actually love spicy food, it is a huge let down when something is described as spicy and isn't at all...which is almost all the time. The different daily specials are awesome as well. It is a little pricey but I personally don't mind paying for quality. I always get the steak tacos so I can't comment on the other options, but in my opinion the steak is lacking something. It isn't flavorless or bland but it doesn't seem very flavorful. Maybe I love bold flavors but I feel the seasoning of the steak could be more aggressive with spices and just give it a bigger flavor profile. Also I don't really like their sauces/salsa. They taste fresh just doesn't seem to pair well with the food. I always just use El Yucateca on the food. Also the rice could use a punch up in flavor and seasoning. Other than that I really enjoy eating here and introducing...

I really enjoyed the flavors and the texture of the chicken sope. It was their Saturday special, and it's not always available. I teamed it up with an old favorite of mine, a steak quesadilla with some horchata. Horchata seems to be a little different from normal but was very flavorful. No free refills and limited choices of other bottled beverages. You'll need cash if your order is less than $10.

I was surprised to see they fry up each serving of chips as you order. The freshness and texture of everything was great and it hit the price point. I can see myself making the trek here and enjoying their specials. Not official table service but they seem attentive to your needs and you can keep your ticket open once you walk in and order.

Not a ton of seating but there's bar stools at the counter, a couple other high top tables and four small tables, which makes for a casual meeting spot. Having the owners on site is always a plus and they seem to...
