Absolutely LOVE this place. It's just down the street from my job where I take 2, 15 minute breaks which doesn't always make it easy to go out and get food, but these guys always have me out the door and right back to work within my break! That includes driving! Incredible service. I tip everytime I come in, and sometimes they give me a potsticker for free because I tipped. Not every time, but sometimes. Which is awesome cause I don't expect them to give me something free for tipping, I tip because the food and service is awesome. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because today I came in and a new girl was struggling at the register and no one around her was even offering to help, despite other employees being available. Then, someone whom I'm guessing is a manager, was talking to another person right behind this girl talking about her nails, but not to her. She questions them, asking why they're talking about her and not too her. Then, the presumed manager tells her she can't have the nails. No biggie, but what bothered me was the fact that she was not only working, but currently checking out a military personnel while her manager tells her this. I was embarrassed for her, that's incredibly rude and unprofessional. Employee management discrepancies should be address when customers are not around. So not only did they criticize her right in front of me and the military personnel, They weren't even trying helping her with the register despite her obvious troubles. I'll still be back constantly but this is not the way to treat your employees by embarrassing them as they work. I saw her blush and get worked up immediately. Please, address this with management and be sure that they bring up problems in private when there is an issue between staff, not customers. This Put a sour taste in my mouth cause she was clearly new and already struggling. . I usually don't come in when they're as busy as they were today. (Around 12:45) So next time I'll come in In the later afternoon, to avoid the frustration the staff seemed to have today. The manager even said it rudely and unprofessionally to her. If it had to be addressed in front of customers, at least do it nicely! I'll still be back cause it's awesome here but definitely address that. The poor girl deserves an apology for being embarassed in front of customers and for management not addressing a problem appropriately. This is just my personal opinion after years in customer service jobs. The Food was incredible as...
Read moreReally disappointed with my experience at this location. My husband and I love Cupbop and have been to many different locations and had never had a bad experience until yesterday. We picked up a couple meals to go for our wedding anniversary (like I said, we really love Cupbop), and one of the employees was very unfriendly and rude when I asked about sauces. We gave him the benefit of the doubt because I know working in the food industry can be stressful, especially right now. We took our food to the location where we would be eating and we noticed the rice was still in solid scoops even after shaking the bowl to mix it up. I ordered a new limited time bowl so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but when I took a bite I thought there were peanuts or something solid and crunchy in it. Turns out it was the rice. My husband and I both only ate a few bites after we realized the rice was hard and crunchy. We had to throw it away. Soo bad. My husband felt sick afterward. Had this been our first time at Cupbop, we would absolutely never return. But since, we know how good it usually is, we will just never return to this location. Very disappointed on our...
Read moreGiving two stars because of what Cupbop used to be. We used to eat Cupbop all the time, back from when they only were in a food truck, we'd still swing by often even as it seemed to be going down in quality and up in price over the past few years. Last night, however; was a new low, just about everything went wrong. The noodles tasted off, I was served a half serving of pork, what pork I did get was overcooked, the rice was old and in huge clumps, asked for an 8/10 heat level and they gave me a 6 at best. The food was legitimately gross, I struggled to finish my portion. Normally when we eat here I'm full, but this time both my wife and I left hungry, everything was smaller than it ever has been.
My suggestion, make rice at home, buy the noodles at an Asian Market, the sauce is easy to make/buy, chopped cabbage is cheap, and there are plenty of copycat meat recipes online. Even the hassle of cooking and cleaning the kitchen is nothing compared to the hassle of eating this new CupBop.
Don't worry though, the staff is somewhat outgoing. They don't hesitate to ask for a tip either.
Save your money. And your mouth....
