This WAS my favorite restaurant in the Poconos...but no more. Last night we went there for my wife's birthday. Yes, it was busy. After a few minutes, a snotty young male seated them in a midget booth on a platform despite the fact that 3 of us are obviously physically disabled. After 20 minutes and no service we asked to be moved to an (obviously open) table in the rear; which ee were with much grumbling. A different waitress took over with much resentment from the waitstaff. I wont' detail the long wait times to get served to get ANY food at all, and the long delays between courses. Suffice it to say that a tortoise with lumbago could have served us faster. As for the food, which never arrived on time: --the baked scrod in parchment was less than 3 ounces, or 3 bites; ---the veal marsala was 2 2-oz medallions with a lemon and mushrooms bigger than the veal, on a mountain of overcooked linguine; --the "pot roast" was so full of vinegar and other foreign spices (cinnamon) as to be inedible. After 2 bites my daughter became nauseous and had to leave the table.
Worst of all was the prime rib, which came 20 minutes after everyone else's entree. It was Stone Cold, though it had been ordered as medium. We had asked for no horseradish; it was covered in horseradish. We sent it back. Just 2 minutes later, long before it could have been properly cooked, it was brought out again: the same cut of meat TURNED OVER ON THE PLATE, with the horseradish still showing on the bottom side! At this, my sister refused to eat it, although no one offered her any commiseration or satisfaction for a poorly prepared dish.
On exit, the young male who had treated us so snottily all nighy, made not one but 3 "brush-by" passes to my sister, just missing an outright grope. This was uncalled for and should be censured by the owners.
And where were the owners and senior staff? Non-existent , while the waitstaff complained incessantly about a "new computer system", and the chef prepared poor food, and people were getting sick and mistreated.
They have lost my...
Read moreCame here for the first time to try out their Wednesday Wing Buffet. For $16 you can get unlimited wings, vegetables, baked potato, and one soup or side salad. Great value and great food and service!
I arrived around 7:30pm and the place was still packed but I got the only table left and was seated quickly. The wing deal is from 5-9. I saw on facebook that they recommend reservations but most bar seating was still open and not long after I was seated the crowd started to diminish.
The wing buffet had 6 flavors of wings available - 3 sauced and 3 dry rub. I tried each of them and thought all were great. The wings are replenished regularly and are all cooked well. Their house buffalo sauce is delicious! There is also all the blue cheese and carrots/celery youâd like and last nightâs vegetable was broccoli which was good.
I didnât catch the name of my server but she was fantastic, she regularly checked on me and gladly answered any questions I had about the wing flavors. Used plates were regularly cleared by the staff.
Their menu is also huge and looks appealing - the menu photo I posted is only the wednesday night specials, which is impressive that they have so many options since Iâd think the main draw would be the wings. But I saw lots of others eating other things on the menu.

Read moreWe were vacationing in the area and our friends wanted to go here because she said "I've driven by here my whole life and have never eaten here." We should have kept on driving.
We sat at the bar waiting for the friends mentioned above to arrive. The bartender asked what we wanted and we asked about a drink list and she said hold on...5 min later later another person comes and takes our order. After 15 min we get our first drink.
Our friends arrive and we are seated at a table. After 15 min. and tables on either side of us getting served i had to go back to the bar and ask for service. Very apologetically we were waited on.
The service was fine going forward...and they went out of their way to apologize...hey things happen. But the real 2 star rating was because of the "prime" rib 3 of the 4 of us ordered. We all agreed it looked good...perfectly cooked...had nice flavor but was horribly tough. The fat which is prevalent on a prime rib should be tender...this was hard almost like youd find on cold meat. I wont go on but it was a shame that they either rushed the cook or had a terrible prime rib.
All in all...it was a fairly priced place with luke warm service and not...
