😬😬 Review for Puente Coffee Truck — Experience on Monday 7/21 @ 10AM

I’ve always enjoyed supporting local businesses and even recommended Puente Coffee Truck as a meeting spot for my team. Sadly, my experience this Monday left me shocked and embarrassed.

After ordering my coffee—yes, pricey but I was fine supporting local—I tipped directly on the iPad at the counter. What followed was completely unexpected: the barista (not sure if he was the owner) looked at me and sharply said, “Don’t ever do that.”

I was stunned and honestly felt like I was being scolded like a child. I couldn’t even respond in the moment from sheer disbelief. It was jarring, especially after having just paid and tipped. I picked up my coffee, tried to compose myself, and finally able to say something to him .

As someone who chose to bring business here, this interaction was not only unprofessional—it was humiliating. I hope the owners (if that wasn’t him) take this feedback seriously. No one should be spoken to that way, especially not a paying customer who came in with nothing but...

Puente is such a little gem if you love an amazing cup of coffee. I'm very particular with any coffee shop because I really want to be able to taste the flavors and not have it be from burnt coffee beans. Puente's coffee is truly great and the owners are so kind and humble. I love getting an extra hot almond milk latte while my husband usually gets an espresso. And he really enjoys it which says a lot because hes traveled all over the world and had espresso from everywhere. I'm so glad that Puente is right near our home and we don't have to drive downtown for a decent latte...

WOW! Don't walk - run to get your Puente coffee! So glad I found this hidden gem situated in southwest Austin off of Nutty Brown. My barista was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the coffee and roasting process. I enjoyed the friendly service, and the deliciously smooth cold brew coffee.
