Aegis Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in DuBois

Made the mistake of going to this coffee shop 10 minutes prior to close on a Saturday. There were 2 girls working who were clearly frustrated we visited at that time, maybe close earlier then? 4pm is already pretty early to close on a weekend. Note, we left them a $9.00 tip. The espresso drinks are also very subpar, I couldn’t even taste the espresso in the iced mocha, and I ordered an extra shot! Their large is also comparable to a medium anywhere else. The strawberry smoothie was good, don’t get strawberry banana, that tasted terrible, something about it isn’t right. I asked if they sold espresso beans, she sighed and said all we have is whatever is in the vault. All that was in the vault was coffee and it was pre ground, based on the drinks I’m pretty happy they didn’t sell me any. Aegis Coffee shop in Dubois is amazing. Great food, great drinks, great staff. The inside is beautiful and welcoming, it makes you want to stay for awhile. I love the cheesecake and smoothies. I enjoy the added outside summer seating, such a welcoming touch. My only concern is, there is very little parking for customers coming in and out of the coffee shop and I noticed that there is a daycare on the other side of the building. I feel bad for there customers who have a hard time finding a place to park to drop off and pick up there children. I have left the coffee shop to see no parking spaces for customers to get into either business. Maybe a better parking arrangement could be found to suit all customers for both sides of...

This is an incredibly cute iteration of Ages coffee. I've been to their locations as they moved around Dubois over the years and we always buy a 5-pound bag of coffee. I will say this particular location seemed a little understaffed as I was the only person in there and it took about 5 minutes for the gal to be able to serve me, but she was very polite and apologetic about it and even gave me a free cup of coffee to go with my 5 lb bag.
