Charlotte's Coffee House Drive Thru — Restaurant in Dubuque

I was a regular customer unfortunately not anymore. The coffee drinks are good. Customer service terrible! University inside hartigs location. I don't normally leave bad reviews but I must make an exception with this place. Mother's day 2023 ordered coffee drink waited at least 20 minutes for a there were 2 employees present when my order was taken. As I was waiting another customer ordered and was waiting for her order too. I noticed other employees were coming in about 2 or 3 more yet they all seemed to be standing and talking to each other while one other employee was doing all the work then came out with the drink for the customer who had waited about 5 minutes for their order. I checked my phone noticed I had been waiting at least 20 minutes so I asked the lady where my drink was she said she was sorry and would check but I told her to refund my card. Not sure your aware that you are paying employees to stand around and talk and not wait on customers perhaps more adult supervision is needed at...

My partner and I want to applaud the staff members who worked Labor Day Weekend. We witnessed some inappropriate behavior from a customer who spoke very disrespectfully to an employee, yet the employee remained professional and handled the whole situation patiently and with grace. Kudos to that employee for responding so calmly in an interaction that was distressing to observe, let alone experience firsthand. And a big shout-out to all Charlotte's staff who worked the weekend of Labor Day, a holiday which celebrates the contributions and achievements of American workers -- THANK YOU! I go there before school often and the only time I get upset is when the workers get food order, they taste swell but take 5-10 minuets to get one item.
