Just had a manager switch and talking with the new manager I'm so excited to see what will become of it! Dining area that's family friendly up front is warm and has a cute fireplace in the middle, though the rest of the furniture is a little outdated it's still in pretty ok condition. The bar is in the back with a separation wall so your kiddos most likely won't even know it's a bar! Pretty good food though certain ingredients were a little skimpy. Price wise the food is pretty expensive for what you get. My mushroom and Swiss burger was pretty yummy though! My husband's chicken nachos were a tad overdone, and didn't have as much chicken as he would've liked. As for the bar side again it's older and it shows, But I gotta tell you the pool tables may be usedused but oh so flat! No funky rolls or slant! And it's only a dollar a game! (Coin operated) the jukebox uses an app or you can use the touch screen to select songs. It's a 5 dollar minimum but that gives you 12? Credits I think. Most songs are 2 credits to add to the queue, some are 1. It was a little jenky and didn't let me utilize my last credit though. The dance floor is the last part before you get to the back door. It's a little warped in a few spots. There is a small corner stage, a DJ booth, the sound system is mostly mounted and ok sounding, though I don't know about the karaoke mics or anything since we weren't there on a karaoke night. Atmosphere was pretty standard, normal lighting nothing colorful or strobe like. I don't drink so I can't attest to their beverage selections however I am so excited to go again! The overall atmosphere is clean, friendly, smoke free and I can't wait to see what they new activities will be! Go on in and have a great time, drinking or not, it sure is a great night out for duchesneites! See ya soon!
Note for the new manager I'm hoping for karaoke on weekends, line dancing EVERY night and live performances! I'm hoping they can update flooring and lighting on the dance floor! Get some garden lights and a couple mood lights for them slow songs! Keep the decor you have and don't be afraid to add more!! Maybe add something for the families to do up front too? Arcade games or bingo nights or something ;) idk I had fun the way it is. Good luck in your new ventures my dears! You'll see...
Read moreThis deserves two - three star. But got a 5 star because of the laughs. Yes I know this is Duchesne and it is a bar with a small restaurant in it but still could of been much better.
We showed up and were told. Just to let you know we only have enough patties for 6 burgers. We were a group of ten. No problemo. There was other options. So we asked "How are the jalopeneo poppers" Waitress... "Uh,, about the same as everywhere else"... At least she was honest.
So we started ordering... Waitress " I will be honest with you. The Dr Pepper Machine is not working gives you pure syrup" My wife. "Can I have the BLT" Yes! Then brother. " Can I get the Bacon Cheese fries" Waitress " We our out of bacon." Wife "What about my BLT" Waitress " We have the bacon for that"
Every one ... Perplexed.
Put it this way at least she was honest when she told us that that some will finish their food before the others get theirs. But everyone got to laugh at the same time so it...
