TLDR: why eat here when you can go to Red Robin? Or literally anywhere you could build a burger.
Pros: portion sizes, sweet tea was excellent
Cons: the cashier was rude- like kinda made me want to leave, felt uncomfortable asking questions about the menu, looked me up and down when I asked if the $4.50 fries were a shareable size before saying no (they absolutely were)- rude. The burger was unevenly seasoned. One bite was salty. The next was bland. The fries were totally unseasoned and, despite having a fry sauce on the menu, came without sauce. Not having a singular sauce cup included in a $4.50 fry is ridiculous. I also didn’t like the style of fry- but that’s a personal preference. The burger was big enough to be a full meal on its own. I didn’t get a shake for myself, but the person I went with did. She ordered chocolate. The cup was pretty- had the chocolate sauce drizzle, but it ended up just tasting like chocolate sauce. Just go to Wendy’s- a frosty is cheaper and way better. I’m seriously considering asking the person who recommended this place to me for the money back, because in what world is LR Burger in Duluth an $18-22 experience?? I’ve eaten places where I didn’t like the food, but this was actually a bad experience. It feels like the scammy Atlanta restaurant vibe has entered the Duluth food scene, except there is no grass wall here.
Don’t eat here. It’s a waste of your money. Go to any other...
Read moreIf I could give a 6 for service I would., and this is why…. I walked through the door at 9:51pm on a Saturday night. I’ve worked in restaurants, and I know what the general mood is less than 10 minutes to closing time. I felt horrible, and said I was aware of the time, but was starving because with the exception of a banana, I hadn’t eaten all day.
The young lady at the register was so incredibly nice, and welcoming. I asked what was the easiest thing to cook, and she simply said to order whatever, reinforcing it with a smile. The feelings of angst I felt inside began to dissipate. I ordered, and when the ticket printed, the gentleman on the grill subtly peeked out the food window. I apologized to him, and he smiled and said that it was all good..,, but he said it with a level of authenticity that removed any guilt I felt for ordering food so close to closing time.
These rockstsrs did something we rarely see these days in a lot of restaurants. They delivered an incredible experience in a matter of a few minutes by simply being kind and I absolutely appreciate them for doing so.
I want to thank you 3 (the 3rd young lady gave me a big smile as I was leaving with 2 INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS burgers. I appreciate you...
Read moreI just visited for the first time and while I didn't love my food experience, I'd go back to try things a different way. The restaurant itself is super cute and has a cool vibe and the service was friendly. We ordered a burger, a grilled chicken club, and fries. The sandwiches tasted fine but were so messy that, for me, it's a deterrent to ordering it the same way again. The honey mustard on the grilled chicken sandwich had a more watery consistency than I like. The sandwich was dripping when I picked it up and the bread was too wet for me. The person who ordered the burger had the same experience. The first thing he said when he picked it up was: 'This bread is too wet!' The two main issues for me were how filthy my hands were (pretty much immediately) and that the sandwich pretty much fell apart with every bite because it was so wet. I don't have a problem eating with my hands or getting a bit messy but this was excessive. I was so distracted by how messy my hands were that I just wanted to hurry up and be finished and ended up not eating the whole thing. As for taste, both sandwiches were fine. I'd try this place again but would order the sauce on the side for a sandwich or try a...
