Just saw other people review and I want to add here I tried to not think that what it is but it seems this place is RACIST, my husband is American he walked in first with our kids, and my mom and I go in after. My husband feel we not get service because we are not Chinese enough for them. I tried to not think that way but now I am.
First time dining in and we are not impressed with the service and attitude. I am Chinese we go eat out to celebrate the Chinese New Year. I found this restaurant on the search so decided to give it a try. When arrived there, a couple of tables just left so they tried to clean the tables, it small restaurant. We wait by the door until one girl sits us down at the table right by the door. We got the menu, looked through it, and waited for someone to come so we could order drinks and food. We had been waiting for a while they seemed busy cleaning the other table about 20 minutes later, we still waiting, and the other two parties came in. They didn't make reservations like us. They have a menu and plates. Then 5 minutes later, the server lady go take their orders.
Meanwhile, we still have not be able to order anything they totally ignored us. I have to call the guy that cleaning the table near by and let him know we been here for 30 minutes already and she has not come to get our order and just take other people first.
So he call her....but this what she said "oh are you ready to order?" I told her yes and we been waiting and no one come to take orders. She said "oh I don't know, I go whomever call me first"
I said " lhow you not know you saw us sit here before they come, you guys the one sit us on this table"
Then she take our orders....I thought if the food was good I would let it go.
The food is good, everything we ordered is good..... But ....when the first dish comes which is the Peking duck. And this is what she said " Here someone ordered it but I give you first okay" and repeated it two times with attitude.
I have been I don't need that attitude and that is not how it is supposed to be if they learn how to manage the restaurant and take care of the customers by ordering who seats first, these issues will not happen from the beginning.
If it is in different situations that other parties come later but are ready to order, that I understand.
But in this situation, we have been waiting to order before they came and NO ONE came to...

I made reservations ahead of time for a party of 10 (three being kids) and when we arrived she wrote down only 8 people total. Which is fine I said can we just add some chairs and she kept insisting we told her eight. After we sat down I asked for the extra chairs and they rudely said HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE ARE COMING ? First of all, it's a round table we had a lot of room to fit some guest as the kids were tiny. The table next to us was super nice and just gave us their extra chairs. After an hour of sitting down, they still did not take our order, and we even waived down two servers to let them know we are ready ( we even said it in Chinese so they understood us) but they proceeded to stand in the back and eat their pastry while we were patiently waiting to order. Ordered about 11 dishes and the last veggie dish didn't come until an hour and half later.
Its honestly quite embarrassing when half of my guest has never been to taste of china before and that this is their first experience.
Food use to be decent and I would throw birthday dinners for my family here. Service was always slow nothing new but this place is not only overpriced now but they need to learn how to be nicer to their customers.
We didn't get any smiles until we paid for the check And I still tipped 20% for the third server that finally took our order.
Do yourself a favor and take your money...
Read moreThis place is such a GEM! It's located in a plaza where almost all the restaurant or businesses are Korean. We were skeptical when mother in law wanted to come here since her friend took her here prior and she was impress. We were the first table there since we came when they first open. The server greeted us right away and they sat us at a big circle table even though we only had 4 people. They were super nice and detail when hubby and I had lots of questions since it was our first time there. Mother in law already know she wanted lobsters and we just need to figure out what else we wanted to eat beside the lobster. We also ordered the house stir fry and the fried pumpkin. Oh my buddha, it was so so good. The house stir fry I believe has shrimp, squid, mixed veggies and another item that I can't put my thoughts around. It was so tasty and it goes so well with rice. I ate at least two bowls of rice before the lobster even come out. Lets talk about the lobster, it was so so good. It was one of the best Hong Kong style lobsters that I had in years and the rice was so new and good that I have to give a chef kisses. We did noticed one thing that we didn't like which was we get a different menu versus a non Chinese speaker. I'm doomed if I do come here without hubby. I do not speak the language and I do not know how to order the items that we ate. Until next...
