They had already "broke down" the Frappuccino machine so I could not use my reward for free Frappuccino. The employees can not tell you what is in a mocha vs latte "I push a button & the machine does it" 2 different employee's said this to me. Another made the comment she was not doing any curbside deliveries "in this cold" its the south & I realize they aren't used to snow flurries or ice but come on, do all the McDonald's north of the Mason Dixon line close for snow flurries. It wasn't even below 32° so it wasn't freezing. They all just wanted to go home & I understand. The rest of us do too, but I need some caffeine to make that drive & I have tons of reward points to use. Nurses don't get to go home because its cold outside. Neither do our police, military, firemen, tow truck drivers, gas station clerks, EMTS, 1st responders, other Healthcare workers, some daycares, etc. My daughter works at Whataburger up north & walked to work in the snow because she likes her car too much to drive it in the snow & ice & realizes she isn't experienced enough to do so safely. But she does not miss work (they are open 24hrs & the only fast food restaurant in the whole county that is) because she likes her car & has to pay her insurance & gas. Sure glad those workers on the line in Detroit don't stay home for a few snow flurries so we have these nice...
Read moreWe were driving home to Cabot from New Orleans and stopped at the drive through for a "quick" bite. I got in the right lane and had to wait 10 minutes for the truck in front of me. When their order was finally taken and I pulled up, two cars in the left lane placed orders before the order taker even acknowledged I was at the order window. I had repeat my order twice. Got up to the pay window and corrected the order taker that I wanted a double HAMBURGER, no cheese (I have trouble with dairy products).
When I got up to the window to pick up the order, the young man there really wasn't concentrating on the orders. We checked the order before we left the window. It was wrong. He asked for the receipt so he could double check it and STILL got it wrong. When I wouldn't leave the window, he said, "What do you want?" I asked for the rest of my order, one drink and the 4 pc chicken nuggets. He gave them to us and we left. When I opened the burger a few minutes later, we found it was a double CHEESEBURGER, not the HAMBURGER I had requested.
All in all, it took roughly 40 minutes to go through the drive-thru on a Saturday night.
Being a former McDonalds All-American candidate, I was very disappointed in the service from this store. I hope it was just a fluke for the night, but my observations really...
Read moreIf the corporate head office doesn’t shut them down for incompetence, the health department should for their unsanitary practices. After waiting 12 minutes (yes, I timed it) to get though the drive through line to the payment window, I discovered that the employee manning it had gone to lunch or something. Two minutes later, he finally showed up. Meanwhile, I was entertained by the truck in front of me getting a bag handed to them, then the bag going back in the window, then another bag coming out, then that bag being returned, then finally the third bag seemed to be the correct one. Once it was my turn, I asked when being handed my bag if this was one of the bags that had just been passed back and forth. The employee giving me the bag avoided eye contact and said no, with lying nostrils flaring above their COVID chin guard. Looking past them, I could see that none of the employees had their masks on correctly. At this point, I became distracted by the flies trying to get in my window, so I just took the bag and left. When I opened it, I found that both sandwiches looked like they had been prepared in an epileptic fit. Half the contents weren’t between the buns. Oh, did I mention that there was no napkin…? I’ll stop at this point - hopefully you...
