Not too bad but now Awesome. I went on a Monday night and they were steady with a decent crowd in the dining room. I was going to go through the drive through but the DRIVE THROUGH WAS CLOSED! Ill respond to this later. I said okay ill go in. I went in and they had a sing "we don't serve fast food". I wasn't sure of this was a bad sign of things to come or a good sign of hey we are more about quality than speed. Well I ordered the double Awesome burger which was $5.69. I got the combo with waffle fries (nice touch rather than regular fries), they also had sweet potato waffle fries on the menu. I noticed all the chicken dishes were covered up. I guess there was no chicken that night. No salads or other healthy alternatives on the menu at all. I ordered a hot dog all the way. So let me give you the first impressions of Awesome burger. understanding they are a new restaurant and it takes time to iron out the kinks. First of all FOLKS TURN THE SIGNS OUTSIDE ON!. This is restaurant 101 how are you going to attract more customers if they dont' see the sign which still says "opening soon". Still there was a decent crowd inside. Secondly the drive thru being closed is a big loss of money and revenue. Im not sure why it was closed because they had plenty of people to man the drive thru. Now the service. Well they were very disorganized in the open kitchen where customers could see in. They didnt' do a terrible job but as a chef I wouldn't bother steaming every bun unless your going to do it on a flat top. The wait times for food were a little long but not terrible as I said. I ate the burger and it was a good quality burger, not great but good. The meat was cooked well and flavorful. Oh check the soda machine and please mark which one is unsweet tea next time. I can't have sugary drinks so it was hard finding something other than diet soda. I hope im not sounding too critical for a new place. Just offering constructive criticism so you can keep up with the fast food giants on 421 (mcd, cookout, burger king, wendy's). I think the prices weren't bad and the menu is pretty standard burger joint fair with milkshakes and ice cream on the menu. I really pray they do well and keep serving good food and yall will be around a long time, but please turn the sign on for goodness sakes and take down the...
Read moreOk... been waiting for this place to open. Lets start with the appearance. All fresh paint etc, new signage... but the drive thru signage was weak. Some stuff hand written even.
The ordering process... weak. They are new, but when the sign shows a "style" of burger, like the double decker for example, when i ordered it double decker style, they didnt know what that was and i had to tell the person 3 times what the toppings were supposed to be.
Price... kinda high to be honest. 750 for a single patty burger, with a small portion of fries and a tiny drink... not happy with that. I was disappointed as soon as they handed us the drinks. The straws are twice as tall as the cups. Bigger drink, more fries, at least I wouldnt feel gypped right away.
BUT... the most important part... the burger... it was really GOOD! The patty seemed to be hand made and quality beef. The taste was great. It was indeed an awesome burger.
Hopefully the owner sees this and can make some improvements. Id eat here regularly if either the price came down about a dollar a meal or the drink and fries came bigger at the price its at now.
And for Petes sake add an option for Bacon on a burger... who doesnt offer bacon on burgers these days?? And i like tomatos on my burgers too. Seems obvious its a startup by a few things from my visit today (signage, small portions for the $, lack of toppings). Unfortunately, the way food businesses work, if you dont give us a reason to come back, we wont come back. Starting off small and planning more later is a recipe for failure. Cook out is more food for less money... the little drinks...

Virtually no selection on the menu
15.72 for two 6oz burgers and two small fries for my wife and myself.
Meat was bland. Like so bland that even though I got chili, slaw and cheese on my burger I could still taste the blandness underneath it all.
Fries were hot at least.
Employees were nice.
Inside was uncomfortably hot because there was absolutely no shade with a grill running in the building.
Speaking of uncomfortable, those were some of the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in.
I've seen people say that other's shouldn't compare them to cookout but the fact of the matter is you get better tasting food at a better price with a better selection.
Current ground chuck prices are 3.78 a pound which means that I was charged 11.94 cents to have you cook it and throw in some fries. I get you need to make a profit but Good lord.
Work on your recipes, put some blinds up and chill on those prices. Until then my family...
