New owners/management. The new owners are very nice and the food is delicious as ever!
NOTE: A very negative review was recently posted because Koko's could not deliver food to someone who called in past a certain time. This restaurant is literally a "mom and pop" operation, and they run their business on a very skeleton crew. They can't always have extra staff available to make deliveries later at night if it's not feasible for them. Don't you think they want to sell (aka: deliver and therefore make money) their food? Of course they do, but this isn't a big chain restaurant and you can't always have it your way. Not only that, but we are in the middle of COVID crisis and Koko's, like every other business right now, is just trying to stay afloat. Leaving a negative review just because they can't deliver food when you want them to is not the right thing to do. The reviewer wanted a recommendation for another location to order from? I've lived in Dupont since 2006 and I can tell you there isn't any other place nearby to order from. And the worst part is? As a result, Koko's is not going to make deliveries any longer. To anywhere. To anyone. And now we ALL have to suffer: Koko's will make less money, we locals won't have a great delivery food option, and the already failing economy takes yet another hit.
Please stop and think before you...
Read moreDon’t waste your time here go to Sunny Teriyaki off Bridgeport exit 125. Had ordered here in the past we only get the chicken teriyaki just because it’s not hard to mess that up and usually no issues. Today June 2 2018 I got the same and the chicken tasked sour had a tangy taste it’s usually a sweet taste but tangy I got tangy and a little sour. I called them to let them know and they told me they would make me another. When I got there she kept asking me the same thing over and over and telling me it couldn’t be tangy I told her to try one she picked up one out of my plate put it back and then picked up another.....REALLY? She then tasted it and said it’s not tangy this is the grill taste. I told her I know what the grill taste is like and it’s not that. Long story short I told them to keep the food I sure didn’t want it now and I let them know I would never order from there again. Customer service is definitely lacking here! The sunny teriyaki place off Bridgeport in Lakewood is better and his customer service skills...
Read moreThis place is the worst Asian restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered the sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken plate and egg rolls. First off, the only hot or semi-hot thing on my plate was the rice, the ‘teriyaki chicken’ and ‘sesame chicken’ was nasty. It tasted like all tasted like it was weeks old. The egg rolls even tasted weeks old. Even after letting the ‘cashier’ and server know they still charged my husband and I for everything. My husband ordered the beef and broccoli. That was gross and also tasted like week old food. His plate was drinched in oil. The menu should have said ‘oil with mixed veggies and a small side of beef.’ This was my first time at this restaurant and if I had known how nasty the food was going to be I wouldn’t have came here at all. But my husband and I are new here. He wrote a review and provided pictures while we were in this restaurant. If, honestly would give this restaurant no...
