Just a couple dudes who know their Pizza.
Called in a to go order but decided to dine inn. Got there 10 minutes early and Pizza was ready for us. Lovely waitress, cute smile. She periodically checked on us. We didn't have to refill our own soda. Pizzeria had 3 of the 4 musts haves. 1. Red Plastic soda cups 2. Pizza stands 3. Fountain Coke. Kind of MISSING 1 or 2 classic arcade games. Happy to see that the crush red pepper and Parmesan cheese shakers were full and you didn't have to ask for them.
The dinner had lots of TV's to watch your favorite sport and a FULL BAR for you drinkers out there. Low lighting and COLD A/C. So bring a sweater or a light jacket.
Now let's talk about the Pizza. We ordered a classic pep/sausage Chicago Stlye deep dish. To be completely honest, it was missing a little depth to be considered a real Chicago Deep dish. But still looked good non the less. The crust had good texture given the amount of cheese and tomato sauce that is needed on a deep dish. Basically, the crust wasn't saugy. The Pizza overall had good flavor. I would contribute that mostly to the flavor of the sausage and cheese that they used. The crust didn't have much flavor when you compare it to a Lou Malnatis buttery crust. I would definitely recommend over Pizza Hut, Papa John's or those other places that have...
Read moreThe food was great and the place was very clean. However, the service was horrible! There was barely 3 other customers/tables at a time and only one waitress. We had a large party (25+), only 1 person got a drink refill. The only time we got service was when my mom went across the restaurant to find our waitress (who was standing around or flirting with another employee every time) and let her know we needed something (which happened more than 5 times). The rest of the time we couldn't find her. My dad never even got to order his food because she ignored him every time he tried to get her attention. Thankfully some of us had enough to share. We asked for napkins and she brought us 5, for the whole table. I had to walk around and find extras at an empty table. The orders we did get weren't correct, but it wasn't worth the trouble to find the waitress again to tell her. I work in the food industry and have for over 15 years and, if there wasn't a mandatory 20% for large parties, I would not have tipped. Worst service I have ever had in my life. I believe the waitresses...
Read moreReally and I mean really good pizza place the service was kinda slow but the place was packed so it was to be expected it's also really kid friendly, like thing about a late 1900's Pizzeria and you got their walls I'm somewhat serious about that, the walls had these little "Doodles" that were drawn in a cartoonish kinda and was somewhat an old school design but it was still a every cool drawing as you don't see that everyday. They also had many different sports team signs hanging on their walls as well most of witch I saw were football teams. Their pizza atleast, the cheese pizza was okay but still pretty good, their bread/cheese sticks are another story though, I had gotten them because I love all bread/cheese sticks and I was with my family as, a few days after we went (three to be exact) was my mother's birthday and, when I say those things got wiped out I'm telling you they were absolutely obliterated by my family I barely even got any of the bread/cheese sticks. It is kind of expensive but it's still worth a visit once if your in the area and...
