Dat Chicken — Restaurant in Duquesne

The first time I and my gf came in here it was amazing. It was late on a Monday evening, the chicken was amazing, and the boba tea was also wonderful. That first night I asked for peach fruit tea with strawberry popping boba and that's what I got and it was lovely and refreshing. Evidently that was the only shift that had good time employees. Since then I've been two times and asked for the same peach tea with strawberry boba and both times they've put this nasty unnecessary jam or marmalade or something in it that made it overly rich and disgustingly thick and syrupy and overall ruined the experience of both the tea and the boba. If this is how it's intended to be made please express that on the menu so I can ask for it to be excluded, otherwise please tell your employees to stop ruining my boba. If I wanted to have to chew what comes up my straw, I would get that nasty tapioca crap. Along with that, on my most recent order I asked for a number 2 and a number 5 and only received 1 sauce cup. Please fix the fact that your Monday night employees are apparently the only ones capable of providing...

So happy to have a good boba spot in joplin! We got the matcha with and without strawberry with the brown sugar boba and delighted by both. The boba is on the smaller and softer side if you prefer firm boba like me, but the flavor and over all texture was excellent. There is one four seat table and some bar seating inside so be aware if you are trying to sit with a large group, you wont fit except maybe outside. Also it would be nice to see them offer milk alternatives eventually.

EDIT: we went back to try their chicken. Solid 6/10, its fast food chicken breast with dips, its exactly what you expect. No more, but no less. Roll was soft and sweet, fries fine, no seasoning but thats what dips are for. Also they will let you add boba to your box combo instead of a soda for $3 more which we were happy about. Subtracting a star from my review however because the boba was not as good in the evening when we went for dinner compared to going in the morning. THE BEST CHICKEN TENDERS IN TOWN! Hands down! Fries need to cook longer, and rolls are pretty average. I wish there was an option to order just the chicken. I really don't want anything else. I too wish you could sub one of their teas instead of soda. Even if there was a bit of an up-charge. The service was great! The two servers I encountered were SO GREAT!! They were friendly and answered all my questions. Regarding atmosphere I can only speak for the "drive-thru" experience. It's a bit odd... you order and then pull forward about 3 ft and that's where you pay. Then you pull around the building to pick up your order. It's only odd because you are essentially sitting on top of the window and you are asked to pull forward. . . lol We'll be going back for the Chicken alone! SO GOOD! Oh . . . and we tried the Fried Bananas... you have to try them. I'll order them again, just not every time. Great...
