It’s my first time eating here and I loved the food. I had egg and cheese omelets, home fries, bacon, and a fish patty. It was all very good. The staff were friendly and the I liked the atmosphere of the cafeteria. The only con I can think of is that I live so far away. I stopped by here on the way to a doctor’s appointment and I’m glad I did. I apologize for posting a photo of a partially eaten breakfast but I was enjoying this meal before I thought to take a picture.

If you're looking for a humbling experience, this the place! When the line is out the door, you know its worth the wait, and it was! It was my first time and I noticed everyone already knew what they wanted and how to order, I learned fast. The lady on the grill is a legend. Just pay a visit and enjoy the authentic experience and simple, yet delicious food. Reminds me of my childhood.

Another hidden gem in Durham. Great southern style breakfast made fresh, by an excellent staff. After two visits or so they even start to remember your order and how you like your food cooked. Nothing fancy or updated as far as store design, but has the Sunday breakfast at Grandma's house feel. Plus the reasonable price will keep you coming back.

My second time visited, but first time eating here, the cook was outstanding. To have the skills she has and at her age. Wow, it's been about a week now since I've had a Salmon Pattie, grits w/ cheese, scramble eggs fried hard, toast and coffee. Yum, yum I think I'll pop in tomorrow. Try it for yourself but just be prepared to wait a little, the line can sometimes wrapped around the building. Hold on let me school you on parking, if you're looking at the building please park on the right side of the building. We don't need to have your vehicle towed, if you park on the left side. Also they closed at...

This place reminds me of the local hole-in-the-wall cafeteria where I could get grits, eggs a meat and bread for under $4. All the southern staples are here. No frills or "locally sourced" riff-raff. The food is good, hardy and consistent. Sue and her husband are great personable folks who seem to know how to keep the working folk fed. I like to come here before work (because they're actually open before 7 am). Definitely a good southern meat-and-potatoes joint that will fill you up to start...
