Tried to order on the website using my cell and it was so glitchy that I had to switch to my laptop instead. Using the website on a computer is less glitchy but still unusable. The online coupons currently advertised don't mention anywhere that you can only use one per order and it allows you to add multiple coupons to your cart. There isn't any kind of message or popup letting you know why the coupons aren't subtracting from your order total so you just have to figure it out for yourself. After figuring that out, the website then wouldn't let me proceed to the payment page after I put in my billing address and the name on my credit card. I don't know why those are on separate pages to begin with but again no popup message or anything regarding what the issue is until my third attempt. On my third attempt at placing this dinner order on my laptop a popup message finally came up saying the credit card payment wasn't working and I had to call into the restaurant. I was irritated at this point because I had already spent a fair amount of time trying to order online but it was funny in an ironic way that when I called in the automated message says that if you want a more convenient and fast ordering experience you should just order online! After I got on the phone with a person they told me that the payment functionality hasn't worked in awhile and that their computer system in the restaurant was also down so they had to call the delivery driver to see if they even delivered to my address. Thankfully they do, they took my order, and they were very nice and did apologize a lot for the website and computer system issues. I did find it odd that the total they told me over the phone was more expensive than it showed for the same order on the website? I looked at the receipt for the order they took over the phone and the subtotal was $62.02, delivery fee was $4.30, service fee was $6.02, and sales tax was $4.95 so the total came out to $70.97. On the website the subtotal was $53, there was no service fee, delivery fee was $4 flat, and sales tax was $4.28 bringing the total to $61.28. Not a huge price difference but it doesn't make sense that a service fee was added over the phone, the sales tax was different amounts, and the delivery fee was different amounts for the same order and delivery details? The 18 inch meatlovers, 14 inch Don Vito, full size tossed salad, and 6 garlic knots were good but I wouldn't say they were good enough to justify $70. The Don Vito and garlic knots also didn't taste like garlic and when I called in to ask why they said they use a garlic flavored oil so it doesn't taste very strong which is disappointing. The Randy's in Morrisville puts minced garlic on top of their Don Vito and it's delicious so this location was just not at the same quality I was expecting. I would recommend ordering from somewhere else because there are much better restaurants that will give you a higher quality pizza for the same price with less of a headache trying to order and no sketchy price...
Read moreAfter years of being a satisfied customer, getting regular pizzas for my kids, I decided to give this place a chance for a gluten free pizza (I have a wheat allergy) in addition to the regular pizza for my kids. WHAT A MISTAKE! I placed the order on the phone, was told 20 minutes. I get there after 20 minutes, pay and tip, and am waiting and waiting. After 5 solid minutes, they realize they never made the gluten free pizza. “We’re so sorry,” one lady told me. The main guy asks me, “Oh are you in a rush?” I explained I should have left already with my kids dinner.” The guy scoops sauce onto what should be a GF crust and throws a handful of cheese onto it. He tells me, “5 minutes. We were too busy to get your order in. Mistakes happen, we’re human.” I told him I understood and was not trying to get anyone in trouble. 10 minutes goes by and I’m frustrated that I should have been home at that point. He says, “I have kids too,” as if that helps me in any way. I asked if there was a fresh cheese pizza since the one I ordered was no longer hot, and he tries to give me a pepperoni pizza, which I did not order, so I refused it. Some 40 minutes after placing my “20-minute” order, I’m still waiting to get the food I ordered. This guy couldn’t care less. I finally get the food and go home. The GF pizza tastes awful. Zero seasoning? Why be punished with no oregano or basil or anything besides sauce and cheese? Fine, won’t reorder here. Nearly an hour goes by after I ate the food and I start to feel a massive, brain-splitting headache, which is the exact reaction I get from having eaten something that had wheat on it. This is worse than a migraine, lasts some 24 hours, and no Tylenol or Advil helps, just suffering through it. I decided to call to let them know points 2 and 3 above. The guy hears the word “allergy” and asks if I’m at the hospital. I explained it’s not an anaphylactic allergy, and I don’t need to go to the hospital. I asked if he could at least refund me, or did I need to contact my credit card company. He says, yea, call your credit card and he hangs up and I’m furious. He calls back 2 minutes later and says he didn’t hang up. He decides he’s an expert on allergies and the only kind is when you go to the hospital. Again I explained the severity of my extremely painful headache from my wheat allergy and that meds don’t help. He says, “yeah, sometimes I get headaches too and I take some pills.” I reiterate that he’s being rude, that he’s not a doctor, and that that meds don’t help. He tells me he can only refund food that is returned, which is obviously impossible. At this point I’m beyond furious, as if he’s some genius or a doctor with all the answers, and that if he won’t help a customer with a refund, I’ll have to contact my credit card company and he says, “yeah, go ahead and do that.” And hung up on me again. What a jerk!!!! They’re clearly so busy they don’t care about losing a customer. ...
Read moreI left this on the Durham page for Randy's Pizza so I thought I'd leave it on the main page as well.
My family ordered a 16" pizza with extra toppings and lasagna, and all we asked was why the bill was $35.27. The driver, who was nice and just doing his job, said he would call the manager for us at my request. We showed the driver the menu we ordered from that was in the hotel binder and I explained I chose the restaurant for the reviews online that we saw when we were trying to decide which pizza company to go with, and hope they'd honor that price and adjust it. I am from NYC, and I was excited to have NYC style pizza. Sadly, the manager refused to issue the approx. $4 difference in the lasagna pricing, saying it's updated online. I'm highly disappointed, that's bad customer service as I had explained why I went out of my way to choose them. They obviously could care less as we overheard the manager, Mark, tell the driver that he didn't care if we liked that or not and that we could return the pizza if we wanted. We decided since we already waited 45 minutes for the pizza, that we'd eat it. So on top of bad customer service where our prices wasn't honored, the pizza was terrible. Shouldn't even be considered an NYC style pizza. Don't order from Randy's Pizza, they aren't interested in honoring prices in a hotel binder or first time customers. As I pointed out to the driver, I saved them thousands of dollars if they would get the menu binders updated and they couldn't cut us a $4 break on the price we saw. If we had known the lasagna was that much higher, we wouldn't have ordered it.
Also, pointed out by my mom who wanted the lasagna, the rolls were burnt...
