As a taco truck connoisseur, I was excited to have moved so close to this place. My experience with this place has been pretty disappointing, though. I’ve tried it three times now, and all three times the rice was so bland, possibly the blandest Mexican rice I’ve ever had. I’ve tried their quesadillas and tacos, both with steak, and have found the steak to be too chewy and a bit rubbery at times. The salsa verde is also pretty mediocre, and taste like it probably comes from a can. Over all, mediocre is how I’d describe the food. This also happens to be one of the most expensive taco trucks I’ve tried, which is kind of nuts to me given the quality. $14 for a single quesadilla? Add the blandest rice you’ve ever tried and meh beans and you’re out $20. If you enjoy authentic, flavorful, and casual Mexican food-...
Read moreI wouldn’t normally stop here, I mean it’s not even a food truck but a food trailer in the parking lot. However on the suggestion of a friend we stopped to try it out after a day at the Eno Quarry. Like o said it’s an enclosed trailer with 4 yellow picnic tables available for eating there. It’s a basic menu of nachos, tacos, burritos and tamales which you pick the protein. We’ve been twice now and each time have ordered chicken nachos (yummy), tacos of varying meats and the tamales (pork and chicken). These tamales are genuine, homemade and amazing. They have a small selection of bottles drinks to choose from. It’s in the parking lot of a medical supply business. It’s really a best kept secret that I’ve been exposed to. The 2nd time we went we took friends which they...

Their burritos are perfectly-sized to satiate but not overstuff, filled with rice, cheeze, charred onions, beans, and poblano peppers. Tacos are reasonably portioned but would benefit from some escabeche on the side - instead you're given each a thick chunk of cucumber and radish.
I'd try more of their menu if their lengua wasn't so damn craveable! If you're a fan of heat, their roja salsa is genuinely spicy....
