Not just bad service, but no service at all. My husband and I took our children to eat at this Waffle House on Hwy 55 this afternoon. My husband suggested this location because it was brand new and should be good. When we walked in, there were no other guests in the restaurant, yet none of the booths were clean. One booth still had the plates, glasses, etc from the last guestâs meal. The other booths were free of plates, but the tables had not yet been wiped clean. Most of the 6 to 7 employees were just standing about talking to each other. One of the employees, a female, was sitting at the bar with a drink. Only one of the employees seemed to be busy, I can't recall exactly, but I believe he was washing dishes. The busy employee motioned for us to sit at to one of three booths at the side by the windows. We noticed those booths were all still dirty. They had crumbs, greasy spots, and coffee cup rings on them, so we remained standing, and my husband pointed the problem out to the busy employee. The busy employee said something to the one sitting at the bar, and she said something back, I could not hear what. Then he said, âObviously not, they say they are still dirty.â The employee at the bar shrugged her shoulders, stared at us and did not move. No one else moved to clean the booths. They all just stood there and kept talking amongst themselves. Then another employee came from the kitchen with a drink, walked by where we were still standing, and went and sat down at the low bar tables. He was also discussing the state of the booths, but he also did not clean them. We seriously could not believe this was actually happening. After standing and waiting for a little longer for someone to clean the tables, my husband and I decided to take our kids and our business elsewhere. As we left, one of the employees who was watching us from the doorway to the back room piped up, very sarcastically with âHave a great day!â We went to the Waffle House on TW Alexander Drive and had a great meal with...
Read moreNever again. I like Waffle House, but I definitely do not like THIS Waffle House. It doesn't take much to keep me happy, but it does require more than the bare minimum. It seemed as as though our waitress didn't even care. She brought our grits with no butter, and she didn't bother to ask if we needed butter. We ordered coffee, but she didn't bother to refill it or even asked if we needed a refill. Our waffle was soggy. Seriously, I have had frozen waffles that were better than what we got at this Waffle House. You would think that a restaurant with WAFFLE in its name could at least make a decent waffle. The grits and bacon, however, were pretty good. The cashier didn't bother to ask if everything was ok when I paid so I didn't waste my time telling her. I don't think anyone there really cares anyway. Instead I left a dollar with her to give our waitress. She gave me a surprised look, as if to tell me that she didn't think it was enough. Actually, I was being very generous considering the lousy meal I just had. I live really close to this Waffle House, and I have been wanting to try it out for a few months. This was our first and last visit to this Waffle House. We will let our friends and co-workers know about our experience so that they don't make the same mistake and visit...
Read moreOk get this, I go to get lunch and immediately the waitress tell me they are doing dine in only but only have 3 booths open with a look of surely you will leave. According to name tag her name is Sam.I told her that would not deter me, and she responded I just wanted to let you know. I responded again that wonât deter me. This waitress was taking personal calls while taking a customer order, while also having her mask under her chin and rubbing her face and lips while taking her personal call, with no gloves on I might add. There are three employees here but they claim they can only open three booths. There were four employees but the Non Covid compliant employee (Sam) sent the other waitress to pick someone up, not sure if it was a friend or family member, this is what I heard while waitress was on her two personal calls. Unbelievable, after hearing them tell countless customers that there are no take out order, I just saw a person come in and pick up take out order. Iâm not sure if this was a friend or family member of one of the employees. Someone from Corporate really needs to find out whatâs going on with this location. I really donât want to order but because waitress was trying so hard to get me to go,...
