Chestnut Street Grille — Restaurant in Duxbury

My party of 6 got sat almost immediately which was very nice. we ordered our drinks and the waitress brought over a total of 9 drinks (mostly duplicates) and still managed to forget my drink in particular. She brought over 3 waters (only one was ordered) along with 4 coffees (only 2 were ordered) and brought over two other drinks that were right and in the right quantity. we sat waiting for an opportunity to say something but were unable to locate our waitress for about 20 minutes even in such a small location. we ended up deciding to leave and go somewhere else due to the chaos of 1 full table of children raving havoc in the dining area and inability to order our meals. One of the people in our party went up to the host stand that had the POS system and asked to pay for our drinks so we could go, the waitress (not the same who brought over the 9 drinks) printed out the wrong slip and tried to get our friend to pay $50 for drinks. thankfully another waitress stepped in and said we were all set and not to worry about it. If there are kids in the dining room the waitresses may have trouble doing...

We came in 2 days ago the food was delicious, we got the steak tips mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly. My bf got the chicken sandwich with avacado and French fries he absolutly loved it. Especially the french fries they were very tasty. My daughter got the chill with tortilla chips and she really enjoyed it perfectly spiced so the kids can eat it. My other daughter got chicken fingers and French fries. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Best part about our whole experience was not only the food but the owner noticed my daughter was cold and we all kept our jackets on he mentioned to her he would go turn the heat up and within seconds the room was warm and cozy to enjoy our dinner. Needed coffee and breakfast stat on our way home; especially coffee. Picked Chestnut Street Grille randomly and was instantly taken in by the staff, very welcoming and made us immediately comfortable, like being a guest in their own house. We sat by the window enjoying some really good strong coffee and our breakfasts didn’t disappoint; eggs Benedict on a crossiant with crispy home fries and some fresh fruit made me even crack a smile and a hell yeah this is delicious moment nod. My other 1/2 had The had the hash and eggs and said it was some of the best he’s ever had - he’d know because he has eaten a lot of corn beef hash... we look forward to being longtime customers and thankful we found a true...
