This is probably the WORST service I've gotten from a Dunkin in a while. I initially placed a drive-thru order, and everything went smoothly. I didn't have to wait a crazy amount of time, especially considering it was a Saturday morning, so I was happy.
I then got home and found out 90% of my orders were incorrect. I reached out to the store, and they explained that if I was able to come in, they would be able to fix the issue. (I'm a little annoyed, but things happen and I can understand a morning rush.)
The issue starts when I go back to get my order fixed, I walk in and wait almost 2-3 minutes before the front cashier (who i think turns out to be the manager) turns around and acknowledge me. I explained i just spoke with her on the phone about my incorrect order. I had her the bag of food and the receipt, and she says it'll take a few minutes. OK, cool. I kinda expect that, but it looks like their rush has just died down (no one was in store and drive-through had 3 cars).
I then wait almost 15 minutes for my new order. In that time frame, almost a dozen people get serviced before I even get my new order. Now I get that maybe these people had smaller orders, but even if they all had 1 single item, that still was more than enough time for my order to be made as well.
No one's acknowledges me standing there and can say "hey it'll just be a few more minutes." I'm basically getting ignored. And at this point, I'm no longer interested in the food, but the "manager" is nowhere to be seen for me to ask for a refund, so I wait some more.
By the time she comes out with our order, I immediately tell her "hey I just want a refund. This has taken way too long, and I myself had somewhere to be." I get the whole "Oh well, we're short staffed, and accidents happen" and all this unnecessary attitude. I 100% understand places are short staffed and that accidents happen. But there were at least 7 ppl i could see, including the "manager." So you would think that is more than enough ppl to fix 1 order, considering it WAS NOT BUSY when I came in for the fix. The whole interaction was just unprofessional and with an unnecessary attitude just to fix a simple mistake.
Side note - While waiting for the "manager" to come to the front an elderly woman comes in to place an order and had to wait almost 5 minutes to get serviced after having to ask another associate she wanted help checking out because no one was...
Read moreThe staff here is FLAWLESS! Avoid Schererville location!
I've been coming to this Dyer Dunkin location for the past week (usually between midnight and 5AM) and the employees here display a warm, friendly, willingness-to-help attitude, even in their voice while in the drive-thru.
They've never gotten my order wrong and if something, such as their donut truck just arrived and there might be a small delay in retrieving my donut order, they communicate that to me in a friendly tone as I'm placing the order, which keeps the customer informed and allows us to set our wait expectations accordingly.
The employees are well-trained, display excellent commonsense communication skills and their customer service is outstanding! The speed of service here far exceeds my expectations, and while I want to compare them to the Schererville Dunkin location, the Dyer store is simply on another level!
If I could give this location and my visits here a 10 (on a 5 scale), I would! I'll definitely be back! (If you're a Dyer Dunkin employee, please keep up the...
