Tried Little Italy for the first time today and to cut to the chase I will be back. The service was 10/10, Doug was very friendly and easygoing. He explained the menu and had recommendations. Really great guy. The food was also 10/10. We started with Calamari, it was fresh, the breading was perfect and well seasoned. We had a house salad with vinaigrette. I was happy to see spring mix. For entrees we had the rigatoni without the peas. Very good and filling. The sausage was good too. We also had the sausage and peppers, there was a slight kick to it which I liked. For dessert we had tiramisu. I didn't think I had much room left but we cleared the plate! For cocktails we had the shaken lemonade, very close to a lemon drop. Also very good. Restaurant is located in a strip mall, parking is reasonable. The dining area is cozy but not too close to the next table. All in all, I'm glad we decided to try a new restaurant today.

The waitress was great! She's a Taurus because we talked about birthdays as I was celebrating mine; however, I can't recall her name. The pesto, fettuccine pasta substituted shrimp for chicken was good as well as the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. I also tasted a small piece of my aunt's salmon which was good. The Cesar salad was just okay and the Brussel sprouts were hard not to my aunt's liking. In addition, the regular lime and Italian margaritas were great! All in all, I am definitely going back as our experience was wonderful! Very attentive staff and she remembered our order without writing it down. The lights draped all of the restaurant look nice and adds to your experience. Side note: The floors are slippery lol...minor thing just thought I'd mention. The kids are able to draw right on thr paper on the table which was a nice touch. Thanks for your service.

Being Italian and going to eat at an Italian restaurant is a risky proposition for me. I always find myself comparing to moms home cooked food! So when I was asked to go here, I was apprehensive and a bit reserved. Well, I can tell you without a doubt this place is out of this world good! The atmosphere and food were absolutely spectacular. The only thing that could be improved for me was the sauce, but that is a personal preference from years of my own sauce. However, everything thing else was just superb! They have two sizes for most of the meals, the little or the big Italy. Thank god I ordered the little.... the portions were so large that I could not finish the small ones! Finally, our server Emily was the absolute best food was delivered hot and my drink never went dry! This place was just a pleasure to eat at and well deserved 5 stars!

My son told me about Little Italy a few years ago. However, I finally got a chance to eat here maybe four months ago. After my first visit, I have been back at least five times.

I did a catering order with delivery for the school that I work at in Illinois for our Christmas Celebration of over 100 people. Of course, with everything having to go through multiple channels I was kind of last minute and demanding. Regardless, how many times I called and asked a million questions and changed the menu they were still Above and Beyond NICE & ACCOMMODATING! Let’s be honest,,,,,NO ONE is nice anymore! Therefore, you kind of already have your guard up. In this case, a guard was not at all necessary. I tell you the Honest God truth,,,,they were EXCELLENT!

Little Italy Catering did not disappoint!!! Even with my back-and-forth, un-for-sureness, and immediate responses Little Italy Catering still accommodated every single thing we requested, and then some!

We had so much food that everyone was able to come back for seconds and many for thirds. We had so much food left that we put everything up for the teachers to eat the next day. The food was as good as it was the day before!

Everyone was asking over and over who catered the food. We have had so many different restaurants to cater our events. However, no food can compare to Little Italy!

I HIGHLY recommend EVERYONE to use Little Italy Catering for your next event or even just going to the restaurant to have a Nice Meal and Delicious Cocktail!

THANK YOU Little Italy! I Pray that your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ CONTINUES to Bless you and your entire family!

Your Kindness & Humbleness was appreciated and will never...

We used to love this restaurant. Tonight was a very bad experience. Hubby and I waited over 1 hour to be seated (we were told it would only be 25 min. Many other couples that came after us were seated sooner. My husband went to the hostess station aftrr we waited about 40 min and was told we were still on the list. Finally more couples came in and were seated, so another 20 min went by and we were still waiting. So we went to the hostess again and she said they sent a message to him 30 min prior ..no message received. She then said they sent it to another Mike...then said his name showed We'd been seated half hour ago. At this point we were ready to walk out. She then said they were "clearing a table for you right now". No apology (for her error) from her either. Once seated we were promptly greated by Jessica. She was very nice. Brought our bread and drinks quickĺy. Hubby asked for butter with his bread but, didn't get it. When she brought our food I asked again for the butter which was brought a few min later. He got the spaghetti and liked it 😋. I got the potato gnocchi. It wasn't good..the Brussels were warm but, still raw (not even close to aldente) the gnocchi was gooey one the outside but mushy inside. At this point we'd already been there almost 2 hours...I was tired, hungry, and didn't want to wait for them to cook another dish. I ate most of it. I didn't like it enough to bring home leftovers. 😕 There was no compensation on our bill for the wait. We should have spoken to the manager but, we just wanted to get out of there. We don't plan on going back...

We still are trying out restaurants in the Schererville IN area. We have heard a lot of great compliments about Little Italy. From our experience we just had, the compliments do not give it the praises it deserves. The chef here makes the dishes; from my understanding, from scrstch. Kudos to the chef! We had the Shrimp and Asparagus pasta with light sauce. Oh brother, it was sooooo gpod. Our party also had the Fettuccini Alfredo. IWe shared our dishes. Fettuccini was just like grandma made. Been a long, long time since I had an Italian dinner this good! Thanl you for bringing back the memories. The service was just as excellent. We were greeted promptly and seated within a few minutes without making a reservation. We didn' t know we should, but the hostees was gracious and welcomed us anyways. I do suggest if you do stop by, make a reservation first. Little Italy was packed with families, friends and I am sure dates. The atmosphere was jovial. Not thst loud and there was music playing , loud enough to hear but not loud that it drowned out conversations. Petfect. Our lovely waitress Jess was very pleasant. When she found out it was our first time here, she took her time with us after welcoming us. I do suggest when you stop by, request Jess as your waitress. I m sure the other waitresses and waiters are great too, but for us Jess seemed to go out of her way to make sure everything was terrific. NWI has wonderful restaurants and Little Italy is at the top. We highly recommend, Little Italy...
