This Wendy’s is on my way home from a 10hr work day each day. I have given it numerous chances to just have an off day and it seems like every day is an off day. My sandwich often has a special request and sometimes looks and tastes as though they just took those items off one sitting in the window already. The sandwich is usually shriveled up and seems very thrown together. Sometimes I get it and it seems as though they made it fresh, but didn’t give it time to truly heat up. I have gotten the JBC at times and sometimes the bacon is crisp and well cooked, other time it’s rubbery and hard to bite into. The Frosty is never firm. I get the fact that they try to make it ahead and have it waiting and ready when you get to the second window, but when it’s not the right consistency to begin with, it’s often melted by the time I get there. This is super frustrating. Make the mid correctly and make it thick so that it’s still solid and enjoyable to eat when I get to that second window. I shouldn’t be able to squeeze my hand straight through the cup when I grab it became its so soft and half melted. The Schererville location beside Menards and ALDI, down Indianapolis tends to get these things right a lot more times than not, but they don’t always manage it well either. The area manager probably needs to tighten some things down and get the quality back up to par. This is not my normal Wendy’s experience across the nation as I often travel, I’ve inky really noticed it here in this area, which means there’s more to address, from top down and front line back up to the top. The drive thru gal at the Schererville location is excellent. Clear. Well spoken. Helpful and very on top of her game. Dyer is hit and miss. Dyer also needs more staffing. They are all too often understaffed. This affects quality at a whole different level, as we all know. Pulled up to the 2nd window and sat, and sat, and sat. No one acknowledged me. They just stood at the window joking around with one another and then walked away. Three songs on the radio passed before someone cracked the window to tell me they were waiting on cheese sauce. Another song passes and they tell me they are still waiting for the sauce. I asked if I should pull up so they can take care of the person behind me because if I am frustrated waiting that long I am sure the people behind me are too. I got a hold on and she disappeared again. Sat longer than I should have and finally she came back with my food. She did ask if I wanted something free for waiting.
