What is even the point of using the McDonald’s mobile app when the staff can’t manage a basic order? Today, at the second window, I was asked what I ordered—despite clearly placing it through the app ahead of time. There were only three items. The woman at the window in the green shirt handed me the folded paper bag like everything was in order. It wasn't. One item was completely missing. I called afterward thinking the app would allow for a quick refund. But no—the only option was to drive back to the location. That’s an absurd requirement for a mobile order gone wrong. Read moreFor at least the last year every time I go to this location and try and order an ice cream cone or a shake they tell me they don't have ice cream. Usually maintenance on the machine is the excuse. For a year? Today I went at 6:30 pm on a Saturday and they had no ice cream. Neither the guy who takes the money or the guy who passes out the order apologized or gave any decent reason for why they have no ice cream. My theory is this: The machine is a hassle to clean and close down at the end of the day and they want to get out of there so they clean and close it down early. And the management is ok with this? Or maybe it's the management who wants to get out of there and they are the ones behind it. Maybe they are Gen Z and are "quietly quitting"? I had to say “hello” a few times before I could resume my order and when she came back she was still short, didn’t apologize for cutting me off, I proceed to order and she again just gives me my total and exits the screen. Doesn’t read it back or anything. Then doesn’t say a single word to me when I give her the money, throws my change at me and shuts the window.
