Papa Murphy's | Take 'N' Bake Pizza — Restaurant in Eagan

When the kids were small, Papa Murphy's pizza were Godsends - being able to purchase a pre-prepared freshly made by hand pizza to throw into the over later in the evening was such a time-saver!

But the kids are long gone now, and so recently I wanted to see if much had changed at Papa Murphy's. It hadn't! I tried a "stock" pizza off their newer menu - a deep dish "Chicago Style" pizza. I was intrigued. $22, which included a tip, and prepared for me in about 5 minutes while I waited. I ordered the largest size, a "Family Size" deep dish.

The pizza was about 5 lbs of ingredients, and the staff carefully walked me through how to bake it. Fantastic people there!

The pizza baked great, as my photos show. What you can't see is that we added sauercraut to the top (cause it goes well with beer), and also some bacon bits I had handy. The pizza "puffed up" as it baked, to be about 2 inches thick!!!! Seriously, a LOT of pizza. I have had 3 meals with it already! Next time, probably not a "family size" for 2 people, unless you like left-overs!

I give Papa Murphy's on Cliff Road high marks for speed of preparation of my pizza, cleanliness, great and helpful staff, and unique business model. It is so helpful to have a pizza ready to go into the oven when you want it to! I will certainly go back! I'm happy that I tried the deep dish option first. Next...

This location is understaffed. I challenge the Owner to show his/her face and put on an apron and work a bit on a Friday or Saturday night. Note to Owner...it is busy in the evening from 6p to 8p. Staff it appropriately. That means, more than 2. Also they shut the "open" sign off at 7 and start cleaning. What is up with that? Lots of ppl in the lobby waiting because they are so short. Also the gal in the back shd come to the front and help the kid you hired and did not train. His second day on the job and I was helping him with the cash register. He was nice and polite but in over his head with no manger or owner. This is the second time that poor management has reared it's head for me. Same thing happened to me bout 2 weeks ago same time. On that day, I walked out because the kids did not want to work. I could manage that place half time and whip that joint into shape. Let's see if the Johnny Lunch Box Owner has a clue and responds. Good luck everybody. May be time to find another...

I walked in to this Papa Murphy”s on Saturday night at 6:45pm and tried to order a stuffed crust pizza. The girl taking orders told me she could not make me a stuffed crust pizza because it was too close to closing. They close at 8pm… and frankly what difference does it make what time of day it is. It’s not like they bake a pizza for you. All raw ingredients. She then told me this was the same at all the Papa Murphys in the area. I called the other Eagan Papa Murphys and ordered a stuffed crust and guess what. They made it for me without a problem. The staff here are the worst and they don’t want to make you a pizza. I recommend you go elsewhere and save yourself...
