Molcajete Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Eagle Pass

This is one of the best Mexican Restaurants in Downtown Eagle Pass.

It's inside an old house, historical for the area, which gives it a special unique touch when dining in.

Breakfast is good. Lunch is the star of this place. Their enchiladas, tacos, mole, guisados, etc. are what really makes this place special. Unlike many other Mexican restaurants that have a Tex-Mex overcheesed on everything, this one has that true Mexican flavor. The taste is that if if you'd eaten across the border.

The mole is the best I've tried in Eagle Pass and they say they make it themselves.

Parking 🅿️ is limited to street parking.

Service has always been great.

Stop sleeping on this restaurant if you haven't been and enjoy a great meal.

Food was good, but service, still has a lot to improve. They took our order, took them 20 minutes to bring our drinks (coffee). They apologized for "taking too long". Our food comes, we ask if our plates come with tortillas, the say yes, 15 minutes after that, we ask for tortillas, 10 minutes after that they bring tortillas saying "we gave you two order of tortillas...
