New Chan's Palace — Restaurant in Eagle Point

Well there isn't but a couple of Chinese places to eat in the entire rogue Valley. New Chans Palace is a small mom and pop restaurant. Literally I'm sure there are only 2 people who work here. It seems most people order to go. I'd say typical Chinese food. From mar far chicken to chow mien. Nothing that stands out from any other place. Locals always compare Chinese Restaurants to the best there ever was KIMS. Nothing has come close to KIMS in food quality and taste and Chans is a couple of steps behind. There is only 2 Chinese Places to eat from Shady Cove to White City and Chans is one located in Eagle Point. Everyone who has a craving for Chinese this is your best bet unless you drive into Medford and I'd say Silver Dragon across from Providence Hospital is the best. Not to much parking, it's tight especially on the weekend. No problem parking on the street. They are fast and reasonable priced. Beware if you like that pink sauce it's going to cost you. $8.00 per large cup full. I hate to give negative reviews, especially in the Pandemic Era. The food here, as usual, gets a 4.5 or a 5. They have no real competition for Chinese food in this area. It's always good.

For everything except the food, New Chans gets a 1, or a 0. They turned their phone off at 5:30 pm on a Friday night. Tried for 30 minutes to get through, than drove down there. Only two tables inhabited. Still took 10 - 15 minutes to get someone to notice I was there. Finally place an order, then wait an hour for it to be ready. Total time inside the restaurant, about 75 minutes. Total time involved... 100 minutes. They do not have enough help. Two employees in the restaurant. One cook; one waitress. Even when they have had a phone person, my wife will routinely wait 15 or 20 minutes past when the food was supposed to be ready. Only solution is apparently to call your order in at 4 pm and pick it up at 5 pm...... maybe. Might as well pre-order a Peking Duck - it couldn't possibly...

Have eaten there in the past and the food was decent however ate there tonight and was very disappointed the portions have become extremely small they're pink sauce tasted like watered down ketchup which I'm pretty sure that's what it was their hot mustard wasn't hot was extremely water down we were the only table in the restaurant and she basically ignored us and when my girlfriend got up to find her and ask her for a another pink sauce because this one was too runny she didn't give us one I would definitely not eat there again and I would recommend that you take your business elsewhere are I promise you to will be...
