I went here because they are a “sister” to a Thai restaurant I love in Media and have rated a five Star experience. Baan Thai Sabaidee comes nowhere near. When you walk in the restaurant is about 55 to 60 degrees. I told the waitress it was freezing inside and she said this is how I like it!? Two ladies came in wearing coats and began to ask me about the menu. They said they had gone out to their car to get coats because it was so cold inside. I ordered a bowl of chicken soup with dumplings and it was good. Then I ordered the cashew chicken dish. I have had the chicken cashew nut at media several times and it’s always excellent. Here it came out with the chicken fried! The chicken was like fried rocks and I did not eat it. When the waitress came back she wanted to know if my order was all right. I asked her to,see the menu again and the chicken with cashew nut says nothing about being fried. I have ordered chicken with cashew nuts at many different Thai restaurants and it has NEVER been fried. This waitress insisted it’s always fried here. I cannot recall such a waitress who does not give a damn about her customers. She brought out my check and charged me the full price for everything. I will NEVER go to Baan Thai Sabaidee again. I want to enjoy my food and enjoy my hospitality. Baan Thai Sabaidee...
Read moreI first discovered Baan Thai 5 yrs ago, during an outing with some coworkers. Since then I have been a faithful customer not minding the drive, since I don't live in the area. Last night, I ordered take out and received my usual Green Curry Seafood and Winter Shrimp. When I opened the container I noticed that I had 5 wrapped shrimp, it is usually six and I had multiple orders. So I returned back to the restaurant and inquired about my shortage only to be informed that it's only 5 given and has ALWAYS been 5. She appeared irritated that I would even question and made several attempts to dismiss me. Stumped by this false revelation (lie) I inquired about the price, wanting to know if the price changed as well and that's when I discovered that the price was raised from $7 to $8.49. So they raised the price AND removed a shrimp. My main dish was a little "light" as well. I know how many scallops, shrimps, oysters, etc typically come in a dish. Now, I understand EVERYONE has been affected by inflation and can understand increasing prices, but you dont "SKIM" or "SHORT" YOUR customers. I was bothered by the outright lie, but the obvious greed is disturbing. I will not return, because I feel like I am no longer FULLY receiving...
Read moreWent to Baan thai on Feb 28 in search of a good thai eating place. Upon entering I clearly asked the waitress for Vegetarian options and let her know we can only eat non veg. We ordered from her only veg given options but just to be careful as I felt she spoke limited english confirmed that my food wont have chicken, or any other meat. It seemed she was getting irritated but she confirmed it was only Veg and had no meat. After eating the soup midway I noticed there was something that looked like chicken. My husband said it's probably just tofu. When I saw the waitress arrived with the entree (thai eggplant) I noticed there was chickeno on it too. She confirmed it was chicken in the soup as well as the entree because it was clear at that point. I was sickened and felt violated. We left the restaurant and the waitress had the audacity to run to our car and ask for the payment. She then said if we didnt want to pay for the entree or the soup we had to pay for the drink and appetizer. I was furious and she saw that and left. I will never go to this restaraunt and neither should anyone who has any type of food restrictions. They will sraight up lie to your face. I also don't think I will go to any Thai...
