This used to be my go-to Indian restaurant in the area. There food was usually good although it lacked consistancy. I considered it to be worth it for the times that they actually got it right. What has completely ruined my opinion of this place is the poor customer service. I had a very unpleasant experience recently when I called in to place an order for pickup. I was told the wait would be 25 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant on time. O stood there for a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged my existence. Someone came up to me and asked the name on my order. They "went to the back." Then I saw them walking around several minutes later doing some other task. I pulled then aside again and asked how long it would be for me order. They asked me again what my order was. I told them my name in which the order was placed under. They asked for specific details on my entire order so I told them. Then they "went to the back" again. During this time, two other customers walked into also waiting for their pickup orders. One of them received an apology from the manager. The other was asked questions the manager related to their order so he could assist. The manager asked if I was with one of the other customers to which I said "no." Then he just walked away without even asking about my order. Both of the other customers left (one of them also being upset about having to wait 40 minutes for his 15 minute order. This "dance" with the staff at BT took up an additional 40 minutes of my time. I waited over an hour in total and kept being ignored four members (yes, four!) attempted to "find" my order. What probably happened was that they just started making it after I arrived. Once my order was ready, I was paying and tried to tell one of the staff to be more considerate next time when telling people how long their order would take. All of a sudden, he didn't speak English. I mean, really...he was pretending like he couldn't understand anything and ignored my statement. He kept telling me to pay which I was trying to do except her failed (three times) to properly accept my payment. I understand things happen and I don't expect things to work smoothly all of the time. What I do expect when giving someone my business is consideration and respect. Even an apology would have been greatly appreciated. Or if they treated me like a human any step of the way. I was seriously setting the bar really low for them and they couldn't even manage to reach it. I waited as long as I did because I knew it would take longer to try and get food from another restaurant. That said, it will be my last time going to Bollywood Tadka. I can accept a lot of things but will never accept bad customer service. After all, they're...
Read moreI recently visited Bollywood Tadka with high hopes of indulging in a delicious buffet experience. Unfortunately, my dining experience left me thoroughly disappointed, particularly with the quality of the food. It felt as though the dishes had been prepared a day or two in advance, resulting in a stale and lackluster taste throughout.
One of the most perplexing aspects of the buffet was the sheer quantity of food on offer. While the variety was impressive, it became clear that the focus was on quantity rather than quality. It was disheartening to see such a wide range of dishes that failed to meet our expectations. It seemed as though the kitchen had prioritized serving a large quantity of mediocre food instead of providing a smaller selection of exceptional dishes.
The taste of the food was a major letdown. The flavors lacked freshness and vibrancy, and the textures were inconsistent. It was evident that the dishes had not been prepared with care and attention to detail. From the appetizers to the main courses, nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase the rich and diverse flavors that Bollywood cuisine is known for.
Considering the disappointing quality of the food, it's hard to understand why Bollywood Tadka would focus so heavily on quantity. It would have been far better to offer a more limited selection of dishes, ensuring that each one was prepared with utmost care and freshness. This would have allowed the kitchen to deliver a more enjoyable and satisfying dining experience for their patrons.
Regrettably, my dining companions and I will not be returning to Bollywood Tadka. We were hoping for a delightful culinary journey, but instead, we encountered lackluster flavors and subpar quality. It's important for any restaurant, especially one specializing in a cuisine as beloved as Bollywood, to prioritize quality over quantity to maintain customer satisfaction.
I sincerely hope that Bollywood Tadka takes this feedback constructively and strives to improve the quality of their offerings. There is immense potential for this restaurant to provide a memorable dining experience, but it will require a renewed focus on elevating their food to match the expectations of...
Read moreI stopped in Bollywood Tadka for the lunch buffet with my fiancé for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The food was very fresh and kept being refilled every 15-20 minutes. There was a variety of veggie and meat dishes including vegetable pakoras, saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, etc. The chicken tikka masala was very flavorful and fresh, not spicy which I would have liked but I can understand that it’s a buffet so they probably make it mild to appeal to everyone. Huge, fresh pieces of tandoori chicken that were full of flavor, tender, and juicy. I didn’t try the goat curry but my fiancé liked the flavor however said the texture was slightly chewy. The rice was nice and fresh, you could tell they had just made it. The pakoras were AMAZING! Perfect spice and crunch wise. The naan wasn’t as fluffy as other places, but was still very good and a nice addition, they make it fresh for your table and bring extra as you finish it. I loved the Gulab Jaman, it was nice and spongey and not ridiculously sweet like most places. I also got a masala chai while I was there and it was so good I even got a cup to go! Very fragrant and warm, a nice comforting cup of tea after a solid lunch. Service was very good, we were waited on by both a man and a woman. The woman was very helpful with whatever questions we had and cleared our finished plates quickly and filled our water before we could even tell we needed another cup. The man came over a few times and brought fresh naan and asked how our food and experience was, which was a very nice and professional touch! Overall, it was a very nice experience, the decor was both relaxing and inviting, soft music in the background, great service,...
