Unacceptable behavior. Racism at its peak.

Visited twice — only because I liked the Zinger burger the first time. But both times, I was made to wait over 25 minutes, while non-Desi customers were served before me. Clear preferential treatment — no excuses, no apologies. Absolutely shameful and discriminatory.

This is exactly why halal Desi restaurants struggle — not because of food, but due to awful, biased service and lack of respect for loyal customers.

As for the food — the fried chicken this time smelled like fish and was undercooked. Just disgusting. If this is considered acceptable in their kitchen, they clearly have no standards.

I didn’t leave a review the first time to be fair. But now it’s clear: this place doesn’t deserve anyone’s time or money.

Final verdict: never coming back and strongly advising others to stay away. I take this as a personal grudge and will make sure others know the reality behind the fake smiles and slow service. Absolutely unacceptable.

Update after owner response

Thank you for responding, but let’s be honest — this isn’t about misunderstanding or “order timing.” I visited twice, and both times I witnessed the same thing: customers who walked in after me (non-Desi) being served before me. That’s not a fluke — it’s a pattern, and I noticed.

I want to make it clear: I stand by every single word of my review.

I understand that food takes time — that was never the issue. The issue is how I was treated during that wait — overlooked, dismissed, and clearly not a priority.

Your statement about not tolerating discrimination is noted, but actions speak louder than polite replies. If that standard truly exists, it needs to show in the service, not just in your comment section.

And no, I won’t be emailing privately — this review is public for a reason. I’m sharing an honest experience so others can walk in informed, not surprised.

I gave the place a fair shot. Twice. The experience...

Me and my better half plan for having Zinger burger for few days. We reached at the restaurant and ordered Zinger burger and Beef steak loaded fries. The dynamic duo of Zinger Chicken and Loaded Fries is a feast for those craving bold, comfort-food flavors. This combo delivers a satisfying mix of heat, crunch, and decadence—perfect for a cheat day or late-night craving. The star here is the crispy, well-seasoned coating that packs a spicy punch without overwhelming the palate. Beneath the golden exterior lies tender, juicy chicken that stays moist thanks to thoughtful preparation. The heat level is zesty but manageable, appealing to both spice enthusiasts and casual fans. A mountain of crispy fries serves as the base for melty sauce, beef steak, a drizzle of creamy sauce and a sprinkle of jalapeños for extra zing. When executed well, the fries maintain a slight crunch beneath the toppings, creating a delightful texture contrast. However, they risk becoming soggy if overloaded or left sitting. The flavor profile is rich and savory, though some might find it overly heavy. The spicy kick of the Zinger Chicken pairs wonderfully with the creamy, salty Loaded Fries, creating a balanced yet...

A Heartwarming Culinary Experience at Zinger Halal Express

I’ve explored countless eateries across the nation, but my visit to Zinger Halal Express in East Brunswick, NJ, was truly exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, Ahad and his team made me feel right at home. They didn’t just serve food; they curated an experience that was both warm and welcoming.

The Nashville Chicken Over Rice was an absolute delight—crispy, perfectly spiced, and complemented by creamy coleslaw. Their Philly Cheesesteak is a must-try, with tender beef and melted cheese creating a perfect harmony of flavors. The Mango Habanero Wings brought an exciting kick, balancing heat with a hint of sweetness that was unforgettable.

Beyond the food, what truly set Zinger Halal Express apart was the hospitality. The staff took the time to guide me through their menu, ensuring I found the perfect dish. Their warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience stand out.

If you’re in East Brunswick, do yourself a favor and stop by Zinger Halal Express. Whether you’re craving mouthwatering fried chicken, flavorful gyros, or a juicy burger, this spot has it all. Highly...
