Hardee’s — Restaurant in East Ellijay

It's Hardee's, not a Micheline Star restaurant. It's entry level employees trying to learn how to be employed and get you your coffee (it was 7:30 am) and get you on your way.

We had traveled to Ellijay, GA. because our daughter lives there and we spent the night at her house for the first time. She was so excited. She had cleaned the place top to bottom for two straight weeks. She even made her husband (and her) sleep in the guest room. Although I was looking forward to sleeping there because it is only a double size bed and my wife and I need a king size bed (queen size at smallest because I'm disabled and require several pillows to sleep). But since it was only a double size, I would get one guest room and my wife would get the other. Yes, a whole bed to myself. Life is good. But because of reasons, we got there at almost 11 pm.

When we get there, son-in-law has already gone to bed (has work the next day) in the guest room because our daughter wants us to be comfortable so we will come stay again. There bed was comfortable, I will admit that. Chances are that we will go stay with her again. I don't see any reasons why not. Especially if she (my daughter) is willing to go to the East Ellijay Hardee's and buy me 2 country fried steak biscuits.

My only gripe with Hardee's is that they don't serve their country fried steak biscuits all day. I'm fat enough as it is, but if they started selling their country fried steak biscuits all day, I would become Ralphie May fat, or Gabriel Iglesias fat, er... fluffy. Thank you...

We tried out the new Beyond Thickburger to help ring in the New Year. It truly is now THE FUTURE !! It's the year 2020, can you believe it??

Anyway I've been a red meat lover since the early 60s and I've worked as a chef and a grillmaster at several restaurants. I typically cook and eat my steaks Rare to Medium Rare because that allows me to best enjoy the taste of the meat.

I can indeed report this Hardee's version of the Beyond Meat burger is without a doubt quite "a tasty burger" !! There was a small bit of tasting the grill perhaps too much with the initial bite but as I got into it more the taste of the patty started to fully come out. It actually was very reminiscent of a perfectly cooked medium burger which is exactly how I prefer my burgers cooked.

Back in the day we always called the well done burgers people ordered "shoe leather" because all the taste and texture was cooked right out of them. The new Beyond Thickburger is nothing like those at all. Rather it is quite flavorful with just the right texture.

The price was the exact same as their other Thickburgers and my BOGO coupon scored my wife and I two tasty burgers for only $5.99 total cost +tax. I actually wanted another one right after I finished this first one. I'm indeed looking forward to my next Beyond Thickburger, it really is just as tasty as their regular burgers and perhaps even better for my cholesterol levels. I fully recommend you try...

Hardee's is a fast food restaurant, right??? Well the Hardee's in Ellijay, Ga didn't get the memo defining "fast food"!!! We were the only customer in the drive thru lane and we placed our order and paid for it. They told us to pull forward into a parking space and said they would bring our order out. How long does it take to make 4 hamburgers and fries??? The answer to that question here was 15 minutes. We were the only customer they were waiting on for 5 minutes or so before another customer pulled up to the window, and they received their order before we did, and it still took this long. When they delivered our order, I communicated my dissatisfaction, and the girl told us the delay was because they were making our fries. It doesn't take 15 minutes to make fries, if that's what they were really doing. The fries were not piping hot like they would have been if they were just made. The time it took to get our order was totally and completely unacceptable!!!!!! This is not "fast food"!!!! On top of all of this, one member of my group needed to use the rest room and the door was locked, and he was not allowed inside. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon. Our experience at this particular Hardee's was very frustrating and disappointing!!! Company management needs to address these issues if they want to run a profitable business.
