Rally Point Grille Ellijay — Restaurant in East Ellijay

New to this place and chose it due to veteran owned, always want to be supportive. Our waitress ,Holy B, was standoffish friendly to begin with, as if we had somehow offended her that we came in. She asked what we wanted or if we needed an appetizer and we said we needed some time due to never being here before and also trying to learn a little of the history. She came to the table a couple of times after to see if we were ready, then said, well, if you just tell me you don't want an appetizer I will leave you alone for awhile. We continued to look over the menu, the 3 of us, all new customers. She did t come back so we raised a hand and she avoided us after that at every possible turn, brought us our checks and ignored us for 20 minutes and we were waiting to pay. She sent another waitress to pick up our checks, then she gave them to our waitress to total out, I had planned to give her a tip anyway, but now I pull out my tip and I gave it to the other waitress that she sent to pick up our money after her ignoring us for a good hour, checking on all tables BUT ours and we did nothing to deserve her treatment. Maybe the other girl shared the tip with her, but I completely decided she deserved nothing from me and my family. I even tried to engage her over recommendations on the menu...oh well, I guess I failed to improve her day! If you don't like people and have no patience you should not work...

I came with my father in law who is 80 at the end of February 2025. It is veteran owned. Everything looked clean and well maintained. We both got burgers with fries. He also got a side of slaw and banana pudding for dessert. After tip, we paid ~$53. Service was excellent and my father-in-law really enjoyed the conversation with owner and staff. His only complaint was, "They cheated us on the fries." The fries were in a big aluminum cup, but there was paper stuffed in the bottom. It made it look like you had a full cup of fries, but the fries only filled about the top third or fourth of the cup. Everything tasted great. We came into town late Friday night 8/29/2025. Love the atmosphere. We waited a few minutes to be sat. With that being said there were only 1 table of 4 and 6 people at the bar. Our server was a male who had nothing on his mind but his phone. We ordered the pretzel. The cheese for this was cold and clumpy. I had to get up and ask him to take our order. The chicken wings were soggy and fatty. Husband burger was way under cooked to the point he couldn't eat it. Tots and onion rings were good till we got to the middle. Soggy and mushy. He never even came and asked how things were. I hate to leave bad reviews but he was just horrible. Food...
