Last Licks in East Hanover, New Jersey, is a delightful ice cream parlor that offers a wide variety of delicious treats. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, as well as the sweet aroma of fresh ice cream.
The parlor offers a wide range of ice cream flavors, including classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla, as well as unique flavors like cotton candy and pumpkin pie. I opted for the mint chocolate chip, and it was delicious. The ice cream was creamy and rich, with just the right amount of mint flavor and generous chunks of chocolate chips mixed in.

I went back because I was missing my favorite ice cream. I inquired about the straw situation and they told me I had two options. They got a heavier, paper straw and a new biodegradable straw. The heavier paper straw did maintain its structural integrity. My only issue was I did not like the feel of the paper on my lips. The last time I had to use a paper strawI was back in the 70s and I remember feeling the same way then. . The biodegradable plastic straw was still not as good as their original plastic straw but if I sucked on it slightly less it did his job. In retrospect, it is not fair for me to condemn an ice cream establishment due to the lack of ability of traditional plastic straws. Just think, this all started because some kid had a photo of a turtle snorting coke. So I’ll go back and rate the store based on things that are important. The quality of the ice cream their service and cleanliness. All are impeccable.
I used to really love this place but over the last couple of months their straws have been terrible. I keep mentioning it to them and they say they have to go through their straws before they get new ones. Sorry, but part of the payment is enjoyment of the food and if the straw makes the food, not as enjoyable, I guess I’ll try...
Read moreI think it is about time I left a review for Last Licks! I was an employee here for five years and worked with the Saporito’s throughout my entire highschool career. Not only is this ice cream THE best I have ever tried, but every single flavor is good. I have grown up and traveled but haven’t found a single place I like more than Last Licks! (probably somewhat biased but it’s true for me! i recommend banana creme pie, red velvet oreo, all of the ices, and the soft serve is top tier and i don’t even like soft serve!) Not to mention that the store is CLEAN.
If you are looking for something to bring as dessert, Danielle and her employees work tirelessly and diligently to keep everything stocked and top quality. Danielle’s cakes are unmatched in my opinion, especially with her customer service and welcoming personality. She is very flexible and creative with designs but absolutely knows what she’s doing.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Saporito’s, especially Danielle, care about their community. They give back, support, and bring happiness to the town I grew up in. They supported me like family throughout the time I worked there, and I absolutely recommend stopping by or continuing to support...
